Great Chapter Ride today on the 'Goldrush Scenic Byway'' out to Pierce Idaho for lunch. If you saw the route map posted a few days ago, you know this wasn't an 'out & back ride'.

This may have been the best weather, ever, for one of our group rides.

Eleven of us met up at the dealership, and even with a fob battery issue we still rolled out on schedule.

Julie was able to join us for her first group ride of the season and her broken wing held up today. 😘

At our last stop, we find out that its Tina's birthday....dang, we didnt even get to sing to her! But, we were tickled that she & Dan came down all the way from Sandpoint to ride with us!

Also at our last stop, we all drew the last chip to see who was holding the highest hand- Wayne is taking home a bag of 💸!

Ron’s Gold Rush Ride - Saturday, 5 September

A quick reminder about this coming Saturday’s H.O.G. ride!

Originally envisioned to be a Pierce Idaho loop with lunch at the Gold Rush Saloon in Pierce, the pre-ride dictated a route change.

First, Ron had some family business come up and can’t make the ride as planned, so Steve & Jerry will be leading you on a nice ride leaving Lewiston and heading east on Hwy 12 to Cherry Lane.

From there, we’ll go up over the hill to Julietta, through Kendrick and Cavendish, and make our 1st stop at the Dworshak Dam viewpoint.

After a quick break, we’ll head down the hill into Orofino, then continue east on Hwy 12 to Greer, where we’ll turn off and head uphill again towards Pierce.

After lunch, instead of heading down Grangemont Road as originally planned (due to recent chip sealing), we’ll retrace our ride back down to Greer, then west on Hwy 12 to home.

We will meet up at HCHD at 9:00 am, hold a mandatory safety briefing at 9:15 am, and depart at 9:30 am.

Remember, you must attend the 9:15 safety briefing in order to join the ride!

Please come with an empty bladder (1st stop is Dworshak Viewpoint) and full of fuel & anticipation for a great ride!

P.S. There might be a heavier game pot than normal as the previous winner may have donated back to the pot!

If you've been to our last Chapter Meetings, you heard our Director Denise talk about the Motorcycle Swap Meet planned for Saturday August 29th. This is our first ever parking lot event where you can get a space for $10 and you can buy, sell, trade or swap any motorcycle related items. Think about jackets, shirts, boots, take off parts, accessories, etc.

Denise is trying to determine if there is enough interest to keep this event on the calendar or cancel & postpone to next year.
