“Some Assembly Required” or something like that😬😂 Just now starting the estimate process, OEM repair and part research, and blueprinting a repair plan for the technicians. Lots of time and research go into these larger estimates to ensure we are figuring to repair the vehicle properly.👍🏻 We strive to give the most comprehensive repair estimates in hopes to avoid any “surprises” when we give the final billing to the customer and/or an insurance company.

In between being hammered with deer hits right now, we have been remodeling the old office space that Bob, John, Doug and myself have all worked out of. Peeled all of the old wallpaper, built some shelves and added a wall for a storage closet, new paint, trim and carpet and now it’s ready for Zac to work out of as parts and production management👍🏻 While we were at it, freshened up our file cabinets and waiting area furniture. Still have lots to do but happy it’s getting closer and can be used again now👍🏻

HUGE thanks to my son Tucker Knudsen for spending the weekend down here tinting the office windows!! The heat gain from the sun has been something we’ve been fighting for quite a while🥵 It was quite the process getting these big windows prepped and film installed. Kinda fun Dad moment getting to “hold the flashlight” while he’s in charge of the project👍🏻 I tried my hand at the one small window in my office wall and yeah, I’m going to stick to collision repair😂 Also thanks to Rick at Spokane Sunscreen for selling me the Llumar film and letting Tucker bring tools for the install😎

NOT ALL BODY SHOPS ARE THE SAME!! This pickup was repaired at one of our local competitors shop because they were “cheaper” than our estimate. A new beside was welded on and customer pointed out that their paint was already fading and dull after just a couple years😬 and that is just the start. Upon further inspection we found several kinks and buckles to the wheelhouse and extension braces that were never repaired. This shop chose to “caulk” their way out of an improper repair. Their caulking is also separating allowing for rust and corrosion in the future. The panel also does not fit flush to the inner structure in the tailgate opening and many other issues. Our estimates are normally higher than all of our competition, but that is because we figure to repair the vehicle properly, not by cutting corners to keep costs down. Please choose your repair shop wisely and again, NOT ALL SHOPS ARE THE SAME. We are all body shops but NOT all the same quality. At Bob Jackson’s we work for YOU not the insurance company like their “preferred” discount shops👍🏻
