Here at Hacheys Auto Enhancing we have four main services we perform and perform very well. The first of which is rustproofing which is a waxoyl coating that covers all the inner panels of your vehicle. These include your doors, rocker panels, hood, tailgate, frame rails, and x-bracing. This oily coating prolongs the life of the metal so it doesn't rust from the inside out. Our second service is u
ndercoating, this is where your entire undercarriage gets blacked out so it doesn't rust from the outside in. The areas we spray are the frame rails, brake lines, fuel lines, bottom side of the rockers, the bottom side of the bed, bottom side of the cab, inside the wheel wells, inside the fender wells, inside the rear bumper, axel housings, & suspension parts. Every vehicle gets steam cleaned underneath, wire brushed, scraped with a putty knife, and we put compressed air to it, finally we wipe down the metal to be sprayed with clean rags and denatured alcohol to get the last bit of film off so when we spray these areas it has a good foundation to hook to. We start by spraying a rust preventative paint as a base coat then we spray a thick black undercoating over top of the paint as a second layer of protection. The rust preventative paint is meant to bind itself right into the rust essentially giving you a brand new foundation to spray the undercoating on. We live in the rust belt here in Maine unlike many of the southern states that don't cover their roads with sodium and calcium chloride so if you want your undercarriage to last it is essential to have it under coated. Like I explain to many of our customers you can spend a little money now and make your car or truck last years longer or you can spend a lot of money down the road in costly repairs or replacement of that vehicle. Many customers have admitted to us that they were procrastinators when it came to undercoating they figured it was out of sight, out of mind, very costly mistake. Average cost of brake line replacement on full size trucks is $800, rocker panel and cab corners $1800, frame section replacement $2500 these aren't numbers I've pulled out of my hat but numbers our customers have told they spent replacing these items and didn't want to have to do it again hence the reason for having us undercoat there vehicle. Our third service is detailing, we offer four levels of detailing to cover any need you may have to get your vehicle back to a condition you are happy with. Anything from heated carpet extractions and steam cleaning of the interior to high speed rotary buffing to remove paint imperfections on the exterior. We also can apply paint sealants which last for 6 months rather than just waxes that typically last for 6 weeks. These services are crucial to help prolong your paint from salt damage in the winter and ultra violet rays in the hot summer sun. Our fourth service is Rhino Linings, we spray the new heated high pressure system which is stronger, tougher, thinner, and looks better than the old school Rhino that so many people were familiar with of days gone by.
