There’s a moment every weekend that hits the same way — trucks backed up to the campers, boats loaded, gravel dust hanging in the air, kids asking why they have to leave. Packing-up time.
This Labor Day weekend was such a good one, and we’re so grateful for it. It’s funny how “getting away” sometimes means hauling in everything you own, setting it all up, then tearing it back down just days later. It’s a lot of work for a break. But we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Because somewhere in between, it happens every time — strangers on Friday become best friends by Sunday. Laughter around the fire that you can still hear after everyone’s gone home. A first fish. A hammock nobody wants to climb out of. Little moments that turn into the memories you hold onto all year.
So yes, every weekend ends the same way — one last look back before pulling onto the road. All good things come to an end.
But we’re thankful for every single one of them. And we can’t wait for the next. 🌲🏕️
