"I stopped by Dent Master today because we had a mishap with our travel trailer, which now needs some repairs. The gentleman I spoke with was incredibly helpful. He said that while they were more than willing to do the repair for us, it was a fairly simple repair that we could likely do ourselves, and would save about 50% of the $2,000 cost. He then proceeded to look up the parts we needed, and even printed the price sheets from their supplier out, and wrote down all the information we'd need to give the supplier to order the parts, and explained what the repairs entailed. NO ONE gives that kind of customer service! I was so impressed - and grateful! No wonder they are so busy!"

8 automakers report increased 2023 sales, continue EV focus into 2024

Recent reports of Q4 2023 and total year sales show eight automakers saw increases, and reached several records despite inflationary pressures and supply chain issues.

Subaru said it saw 17 consecutive months of increased sales which included a 1.8% year-over-year (YoY) increase in December and a 13.6% calendar year increase. The Subaru Outback was the most sold and increased 10% over 2022. The Solterra EV completed its first full year of sales with 8,872 vehicles sold.

After a two-generation hiatus, BMW is welcoming an M5 estate back to the fold in 2024, previewed by this disguised test mule already seen hammering around the Nürburgring.

Expect the ultimate 5 Series Touring to feature a similar powertrain to the XM: a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 allied to an electric motor offering as much as 750bhp to all four wheels, as well as a modicum of all-electric range. How the M Division keeps the weight figure respectable will be fascinating to see, given an XM is on the wrong side of 2.7 tonnes.

2023 in Review: Car and Driver's Testing Winners and Losers

This past year—like so many years before it—we tested a diverse collection of new metal, from heavy-duty diesel pickups such as the Ford F-250 Super Duty to face-melting plug-in hybrid supercars such as the Ferrari 296GTB. Of course, we took an eclectic group of EVs to the test track too. Travel Troubles: Toyota recalls airbags, suggests no front seat passengers

When making any trip for the holidays, it’s important to stay up-to-date on potential safety risks. Toyota has recently announced that it is recalling certain 2020 to 2022 vehicles due to an airbag that may not deploy for front seat passengers.

In the United States, the recall covers over one million vehicles—according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)—while in Canada, Transport Canada reports there may be another 99,965 affected vehicles. Under normal circumstances, the affected vehicles would assess the front passenger’s weight, which would then trigger the airbag to be turned either on or off.

Lower Gas Prices Forecasted for 2024

The national average price of gas is projected to see a yearly decline in 2024 for the second straight year.

GasBuddy on Dec. 28 released its annual Fuel Price Outlook with some good news for drivers: expect lower gasoline and diesel prices in 2024. The outlook highlights key trends in gasoline and diesel prices, forecasting that, after two years of above average gas prices, 2024 will bring relief at the pump for consumers as several factors contribute to less of a pinch at the pump. GasBuddy expects the yearly national average will drop from $3.51 per gallon this year to $3.38 in 2024.

Tesla Autopilot Recall Deals Another Blow To Self-Driving Cars

Pioneering EV-maker says it will correct the problem with over-the-air software update. Tesla is recalling more than 2 million Models 3, Y, S, and X for inadequately assuring that drivers pay attention and maintain control of the vehicles while using Autopilot.

The recall affects 2012-23 Model S, 2016-23 Model X, 2017-23 Model 3, and 2020-23 Model Ys—so, just about all of them.
