1973 Gibson Hummingbird
Appraisal when it came into the shop last week was $900, because of the degraded condition, broken top braces, top lift, dislocated bridge, body and headstock very scuffed up, etc from my previous posts. It was unplayable and in storage for over 15 years.
New appraisal value as online, $3800!!
Check back through the posts on our page to see all the work that went in. Took only 5 days, start to finish. EVERYTHING REPAIRED, NOTHING LEFT OUT.
Newly ground bone nut and compensated saddle.
The finish was wet sanded through many levels of grit, from 400 all the way to 8000, then buffed out, and finely polished in the end. Send us your flat top and I will re animate it, for an affordable price you'll never beat!!

Ok here's the final repair on the '73 Gibson Hummingbird. Top was coming up about 5" along the bottom edge of the lower bout. We are going to use Tite Bond to glue it back. First we want to wet the wood throughout the seam, in order for the wood to "capillary" the glue, because the glue is to thick by itself. Then I'll use to clamps to hold it together for 24 hours for drying time.
