Most shops read logs. We read engines.

Spark plugs aren’t just maintenance parts they’re evidence. They tell you exactly what’s happening inside each cylinder if you actually know what you’re looking at. Look at these photos.

• The fresh plugs up top? Even strap coloration. Clean porcelain. That’s controlled combustion.

• Cylinders 1, 3, 5, and 7 (marked in purple) show heavier carbon and darker threads. That’s richer operation and incomplete burn. Not catastrophic — but not ignored either.

• Notice the cylinder-to-cylinder variation? That’s where real tuning happens. If you’re not checking plugs physically, you’re guessing.

• Oil staining on the porcelain and threads? That’s early indication of blow-by or sealing issues. We catch that before it becomes a problem.

• The heat mark on the ground strap tells us timing and heat range. Too far down the strap? You’re pushing it. Too close to the tip? You’re leaving power on the table.

This is the part most shops skip.

They’ll send you a revision based on a log and call it a day. We pull plugs, inspect them, compare cylinders, and adjust accordingly. Especially when you’re chasing low 600whp on a stock turbo.
Logs show numbers.
Spark plugs show truth.
When you’re trying to push into territory most people think isn’t possible, you don’t guess.
You verify.

The engine always tells the story.
We just make sure we’re the ones reading it.

UPDATE: Today was a good one.

We’re finally making real progress on what’s shaping up to be the next stock turbo record holder.

When this client came to us, the goal was simple — build the record car. It’s been a long process, but we’re right where we need to be now. The tune is coming together clean. The car is responding exactly how it should. A few short revisions to make it perfect, then we move into testing, dialing in launch control and rolling anti-lag.

We’re especially excited to see what it does on the new ECUtek update.

And let’s be honest…

High-to-mid 6’s in the 60–130 on a stock turbo?
Wouldn’t that be something. Six years ago, low 8’s on this platform was considered “fast.” We remember.

Goal is low 600whp, max effort, stock turbo.
Now that tuning is fully in-house, we control every variable. No compromises. No guessing. Over the next several months, we’re raising the bar.
Things people used to laugh at and call impossible?

They’re about to become normal.

Second opinions matter.

A 2016 Dodge Grand Cherokee 3.6L V6 came to us after another shop recommended a short-block engine replacement. Before committing to a major expense, the customer came to us for a full engine health and diagnostic evaluation.

We started by degreasing the entire engine and engine bay to establish a clean baseline for inspection. During the visual inspection, we identified a leaking oil filter housing adapter—a very common failure on these engines due to the factory plastic design. We replaced it with an upgraded metal housing to prevent future issues.

Next, we performed a compression test, which showed consistent results across all cylinders, averaging ~160 PSI cold, followed by a leak-down test to evaluate ring seal and valve integrity. Results confirmed the short block was in good condition.

From there, we inspected the PCV system and intake tract, where we found excessive carbon buildup—a common result of blow-by gases and oil v***r being recirculated back through the intake on modern V6 direct-injection engines. We also cut open the oil filter and sent the engine oil out for analysis, finding no signs of internal bearing damage or metallic contamination.

End result:
No engine replacement needed.
Proper diagnostics saved the customer thousands of dollars and got them back on the road the right way.

🔧 Diagnose first. Replace second.
📍 Second opinions save engines.

💬 Save this if you’ve ever been told “you need a motor.”

Bittersweet progress day for the Z.

After investing several thousand dollars into Nissan Consult software the Gateway device and even purchasing an additional transmission ROM file directly from Nissan, we hit an unexpected wall. As it turns out, transmission reprogramming has officially become dealer only requiring corporate side file access, specific licensing, and GPS verified authorization.

That said having the factory Consult software in house has still been a huge win. From diagnostics to system level insight it makes working on these cars significantly more precise and efficient. Unfortunately, transmission programming is the one box it won’t check at least for the Z.

So today the car heads to the Nissan dealership to handle the final reprogramming step. Not the outcome we originally planned for but progress nonetheless. Small steps forward momentum restored and the finish line is finally back in sight.

The Z will be back on the street soon. 👊

Throwback to where it all started.

Different builds. Different eras. Same mindset.

From domestic projects to Clyde in stock form, these clips span 5–6 years of hands-on work, trial, refinement, and obsession. No shortcuts. No copy-paste setups. Just real cars, real miles, and real results.

Experience isn’t something you claim—it shows up over time.
And time has a way of separating who tries from who leads.

There’s a reason our builds feel different.
There’s a reason people come to us when it matters.

Nobody does it like we do—because nobody’s been doing it this long, this consistently, at this level.

This isn’t a highlight reel.
It’s a receipt.

It’s funny watching Hondas come back around like they’re something new.

Some of us were here 20+ years ago chrome-back OBD1 ECUs on the bench, AFCs and piggybacks wired in by hand, no instant flashes, no safety nets. If you didn’t understand the motor, the fuel, and the timing, you paid for it. Period.

Today?
You’ve got instant flashing on your phone, canned maps, and tutorials for everything. And don’t get it twisted that’s a blessing. But technology didn’t replace experience. It just exposed who never had it.

We didn’t learn on apps. We learned on broken parts, late nights, and real consequences. That’s why when we touch a Honda today it’s not nostalgia it’s muscle memory. Different era. Same results. Higher standards!!

This build is a reminder —
We were doing this before it was convenient. We’re still doing it while others come and go. And we’ll be here long after the hype moves on.

Legacy isn’t claimed.
ITS PROVEN OVER DECADES!

This is why we’ve been quiet.

Gang—we’re finally making real progress on the shop cars. and are coming back outside very soon.

Looks like there are a few records that need to be cleaned up real quick.

In the meantime, peep the refreshed heart of .
Same engine.
Still stock.
Still OE internals.

Just a new look—and unfinished business.

New year. New era.

Last year was testing, building, refining.
This year? We move with intent.

We’re not tweaking the brand — we’re leveling it up.
Higher standards. Sharper ex*****on. Fewer releases.

First drop of the year is already in motion.
If you’ve been paying attention, you know what that means.

This isn’t for everyone.
It’s for the ones who’ve been waiting.

⏳ Stay ready.

BCR YEAR-END SERVICE ARRANGEMENT

Quiet. Limited. By Invitation Only.

We’ve secured a private reserve of premium Valvoline service treatments the kind typically allocated for in-house use and trusted clients only.
Rather than roll it into inflated pricing or stretch it across the calendar, we’re making a short-term arrangement.

You handle the labor.
We handle the treatments.

This arrangement is limited by supply, not time.

Thermal System Reconditioning-
Radiator + cooling system + intercooler + water pump protection

• Coolant included
• All treatments included
• Labor only

(Available to the first few clients who step forward.)

Drivetrain Service-
Differential + transfer case

• Differential fluid included
• Treatment included
• Labor only

(Very limited availability.)

All treatments included. Labor required.
(Fluids required where applicable.)
• Radiator / cooling system service
• Water pump protection service
• Differential service
• Transfer case service
• Fuel & intake system cleaning
• Transmission treatment service
• AC / heating system reconditioning
• Power steering service

These systems don’t fail loudly.
They fail quietly and expensively.

• Cooling systems lose efficiency long before overheating
• Carbon buildup steals power without warning
• AWD components wear out in silence
• Transmission issues surface only when repair costs are unavoidable
• Odors in the cabin indicate bacterial buildup, not inconvenience
• Steering systems give little notice before failure

This arrangement isn’t about savings.
It’s about handling business before it becomes a problem.

MULTI-SERVICE CONSIDERATION

Clients handling multiple services may receive preferred labor consideration.

📩 Message us directly to discuss availability.
When the reserve is spoken for, the arrangement concludes.
