New project for the ole classic cars to park in closer to the house, after cruisin around town. This old shed was fixed up a little for BBQ action 10 years ago but I decided it would be better served as a drive through shelter. All straightened up, reinforcing west side, it will double as cool hangout, and circle back into the other circle driveway. I had some scrap lumber I needed to use and used rough cut cedar for the roof. The cooler weather was perfect timing!

Psalm 109 is a powerful testimony of how hard, cruel, and hateful people can be but verse 21 reminds us to give it to God..."But you, Sovereign Lord, help me for Your name's sake; out of the goodness of Your love, deliver me". We're reminded because the following verses in 109 reminds us how weak and needy we are. Our Spiritual walk with the Lord is so much more enjoyable when we wake up daily and remind ourselves just how much we need Him. We're going to face mean people, bad choices, and surprises each day "But God" has the perfect plan for us, perfect choice for us, and is in complete control of all. We find His will for our lives by applying His word to our life, being obedient to the Holy Spirit's guidance, and learning from past experiences and the wisdom gained through them. We gain confidence through the victories when we see God's hand was responsible instead of ours. I find it so peaceful and life so much more enjoyable when I add to my prayers "But You" are capable of providing hope, strength, relief, and joy regardless of the situation I am going through. It's still hard and frustrating waiting "But God" is our only Hope to peace and joy because of His love, grace, and mercy. Give it to Him, be confident He has it, and trust Him with the right direction! Have a blessed weekend and share your experiences with the Lord taking care of you with others...

Well, I got the 56 all cleaned up, polished, and running good but she has fallen for "The Beast" and keeps parking beside him... These ole 50 models sure look good together and really have a lot of style. Debbie Anderson will have to start driving the 56, so we can double date.

Best way to avoid temptation...2 Timothy 2:22 tells us! "Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Quickest and easiest way to stay clear of evil and sin is to flee, we all know it but we think we have the power to stop at anytime. The quicker we finally realize we don't have the power, that's another lie from satan, and flee, the quicker we can fill ourselves with positive character traits from God. But living a righteous life with God, having the faith needed, loving others who don't deserve it, and knowing we only have peace with Jesus in our lives isn't easy either. That is why God gave us the Holy Spirit, the ability to pray continously, and other Christian brothers and sisters to walk along side with. We share victories, pray and comfort through the chaos and hard times, and just show up when we know they just need to know someone is there. Church isn't the building, it's the imperfect people who come together to worship our mighty God, share the Gospel, and love others. We're all sinners but we're also conquerors of sin and forgiven by our Heavenly Father. Those evil desires and temptations we learned in our younger years can always come back without our focus and devotion to the Lord. He and He alone, provides our victories, gives us strength, and loves us through it all. Have a blessed week and pray for others victories...

The Beast is back and rolling through town tonight, with my beautiful navigator Debbie Anderson. Off to gym and then we treated ourselves to Whataburger double cheeseburger with grilled onions and jalapenos, fries, and a small vanilla milkshake... Why workout without the benefits and why not drive one of the best looking ole Chevy trucks ever...thank you Lord!

Psalm 107:28 tells us how to handle troubles, struggles, and chaos in our life, and there will be plenty..."Then they cried out to the Lord in their troubles, and He brought them out of their distress". A couple verses earlier we see, "God spoke and stirred" the seas these merchants were on and allowed the storms to happen. We talked about this last night; our choices get us in most of our problems, we place other things ahead of God, and we begin thinking we can do it on our own! We should never forget God controls and knows all things and He loves us enough to use situations and opportunities to teach us to put our trust and faith in Him alone. He knows our strengths and weaknesses, so does satan, and God is constantly building on our strengths and reducing our weaknesses through Him. Satan is telling us we can do it on our own and we don't need God...nothing but lies. Psalms 107 shares four different difficulties/crises that could easily destroy all but when they all cry out, God is there for them and rescues them. We all must know our limitations, know God loves us, know Jesus is our only answer for salvation, and being obedient to the Holy Spirit's guidance gives us peace and comfort through the storms of life. Share your stories of how God brought you through trials and adversities, you might be surprised who needs to hear them and how God uses them to help others through their own storms. Have a blessed weekend...

The Great Eight, Romans 8, is the focus on Mark's book "if". Sometimes we get caught up in trying to read through the Bible each year, done that many times. Sometimes we read the Bible because it's part of our Sunday sermon, Sunday School lesson, or another group gathering, I do that each day. But, the key isn't how much we read, the key is how much we apply the word of God and how it changes our lives. Challenging ourselves and others daily with God's word is an amazing way to grow, live, and enjoy His creation and His desires for each of us!

Zachariah 1:3 is as relevant today as it was to the returning Jewish exiles around 520 BC..."This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Return to me," declares the Lord Almighty, "and I will return to you."" Just like those people we are in the process of rebuilding, our Nation! But, some are not wanting to help, instead they are wanting to focus only on their sinful selfish desires for greed, power, and evil. Our Nation had moved away from our Christian values and industry, which this Nation was built on. We have allowed a group of evil people to teach our children and others it's ok to do whatever you want s*xually, to pretend you're the other s*x, to give out drugs free, to not enforce our laws, to not respect our flag, and to not acknowledge our God! We, Christian brothers and sisters, have remained silent to long and have started believing things should be separate and should not be talked about. It's all lies from satan! We must also return to the Lord, be bold enough to tell the truth, practice the truth, and pray for others and our Nation. We must quit complaining and start believing in God's word, His power, and His blessings. Gas was higher under the old regime for absolutely no reason but we're paying a little more now because we're fighting evil and making things better for our grandchildren. It is not about us as Christians, never was! It's about Jesus Christ and sharing His love, grace, and mercy. It's about the empty cross and empty grave. It's about loving and stewarding all God has blessed us with and showing our gratitude by reflecting His glory. We have an obligation and we can't set back and allow satan and his followers to destroy what God created for us! Praying, sharing, and being obedient to loving, serving, and caring for others with the truth is God's way and it's our only hope. Have a blessed week...
