Here is the official Parade Staging Map! Sikk Skooters is in Section 5 and our number is 87. We need to meet at 326 S Clementine between 530 and 545pm to regroup and enter the staging area. Please have your costumes and decorations mostly ready at that time, as there will be some time for final touches once we are all staged, but we should all be mostly ready. Here is the information that was shared with us.
“The parade will be paced at approximately 80 steps per minute – this is slow to accommodate all groups. Band leaders, please pace/high step your bands accordingly. This pace should allow all groups/vehicles to move forward with consistent spacing. Keep about 25 feet between your group and the next group; any car groups, please ride side by side, 2 x 2, not single file. There is no stopping at any point to perform.
While you wait in staging, please make sure you’ve brought water to keep your group hydrated. There will be limited restrooms in the staging area and closest will be in Center Greens Park or behind Muzeo.
Please keep your group together and follow all directions given by parade volunteers, City Staff and CERT volunteers...we’re all working together to make your experience as smooth as possible and your attention is appreciated.
The parade will step off promptly at 7pm, we estimate it should take your group about 40 or so minutes from the time you step off until you reach the end of the bridge at Manchester.”
Please familiarized yourself with this map as it also shows what roads will be closed as early as 330pm that day.
