Scotland Motors will be closing early today to attend a visitation and pay respect to one of our own, Chris Futrell.

Chris was more than a coworker , he was our friend, he was family. His office is where you could go and talk about anything. You knew he cared, and what you discussed went no further.

If you were fortunate enough to know Chris and able to call him a friend, you had a true one!! I was blessed to be able to do so for 35 years and I could not have had a better one!! What he had you had, and if he had something he certainly had a spare and could have a spare for the spare!! That’s just how he was, always prepared.

Chris was an entrepreneur at heart and always enjoyed making a deal, yet never lost focus on taking care of the customer, during the sale, after the sale or whenever there was a need.

His heart for others was big as his 6’7 frame. He was always willing to help others and did so with no fanfare or ever wanting credit. He simply did something because it was the right thing to do!!

In business there is a saying that anyone can be replaced yet what they don’t tell you is it might take 3 people to do so, but my friend can’t be replaced. Chris was the one that had your back when you were at your lowest and was your biggest cheerleader when times were good. He was the one you wanted to share something with because he cared!!

Please keep Amy and family in your prayers. Our friend Chris, who we all loved will be missed and it hurts, hurts badly but we know that The Lord has us and more importantly HE has Chris.
