To all of our customers, if your insurance company is telling you you can’t take your car to the shop you prefer, this is not accurate. You legally get to choose your shop and your insurance company will pay whatever shop you choose. If the insurance company tells you it will take longer because they have to send adjusters out, this isn’t accurate either. We are all sending in our estimates and photos just like the body shops they choose for you. We have only seen adjusters from two insurance companies since Covid. If they try to scare you by saying you will have to pay out of pocket (aside from deductibles), this isn’t accurate either. We write estimates, but at the end of the day, even if the insurance company cuts the estimate, we work off of their estimates. If we find damage not on the estimate, we submit a supplement to the insurance company, not the customer. Insurance companies have been scaring our customers for a few years now and we have been reluctant to make a public post but we felt it was time to do so just for the ones who do not know.
