Another unique service call in the books for Hocking Hills RV Solutions!

A few weeks ago, this beautiful motorhome was caught in one of Hocking County’s flash floods, resulting in partial electrical failure. Unfortunately, the owners were unable to find a wrecker willing to tow it because the slide-outs were stuck in the extended position and the leveling jacks were stuck down.

That’s where we came in!

We were able to manually override all four slide motors and retract both slide-outs. Once retracted, we reengaged the motor brakes to help prevent the slides from moving during transport.

We then worked on the leveling system and were able to get the jacks mostly back into their stowed positions.

To finish things off, we were able to recommend a local towing company to help get their motorhome where it needed to go!

Not every service call involves a traditional repair. Sometimes it’s about finding a solution to get our customers out of a tough situation!

Another busy day in the books at Hocking Hills RV Solutions! 🔧🚐

We started the morning removing a water heater for a customer who is having the tank welded. Once the repairs are complete, we’ll be returning to reinstall it!

While we were there, the customer also decided it was time to replace his 20+ year-old awning fabric that has seen better days! He’ll be ordering new fabric from ShadePro, and we’ll get it installed when we return for the water heater. Nothing like knocking out two projects in one trip!

After that, we wrapped up another job replacing inner wiper seals on a BAL Accu-Slide system. Due to the location and design of the slide-outs, we had to remove interior trim to gain access to the seals. A little extra work, but necessary to get the job done right!

From water heaters and awnings to slide-out repairs, we’re here to help keep your RV in great shape!

Another busy and productive day for Hocking Hills RV Solutions! 🔧🚐

We started the morning replacing a failed awning motor on a Dometic 9100 Series awning.

Next, we tracked down a major propane leak coming from the gas line supplying the stove. We repaired the leak and used a manometer to pressure-test the LP system, confirming no additional leaks were detected! While on-site, we also diagnosed a failing furnace motor that we’ll be returning to replace at a later date.

To finish out the day, we headed to Hocking Hills State Park to replace a worn-out water pump for another customer. (Not pictured!)

Today we had the pleasure of helping both returning customers and new customers visiting from out of town!

Another busy day in the books for Hocking Hills RV Solutions! 🔧🚐

We started the day diagnosing a leak in a customer’s black tank flush system. We tracked it down to a leaking vacuum breaker behind the bathroom sink and replaced it with a new brass valve. We also pulled down the underbelly to check for any additional leaks. Thankfully, everything else checked out—but we did find and remove a rodent nest while we were in there! 🐭

Our second customer had damage to the rear cap of her fifth wheel after making contact with a log. Since she’ll be staying in the camper throughout the winter, we got everything put back together and sealed up to help keep the weather out.

We finished the day with a customer who had water constantly collecting around the toilet along with a toilet that was loose and wobbly. We replaced the flush valve and floor seal, then properly shimmed and secured the toilet.

Best of all, 2 out of our 3 customers today were repeat customers! We’re extremely thankful for everyone who continues to trust us with their RVs—and just as thankful for every new customer who gives us a chance to earn their business.

🎃 With Halloween coming up, we wanted to share a few spooky things we found during one of our most recent RV inspections! 👻

This customer had recently purchased their camper and called us because they had a feeling something just wasn’t right. Unfortunately, their instincts were correct.

⚡ We found multiple live 12-volt wires left loose where previous components had been removed.

⚡ A live 120-volt wire running through the front compartment with damaged insulation and exposed wiring.

⚡ And some questionable modifications to the A/C wiring that definitely needed attention.

These aren’t just little maintenance issues—they can become serious electrical and fire hazards.

If you’re thinking about buying a used camper, have it inspected BEFORE you buy! A professional inspection can uncover hidden problems before they become your problems.

And just like that, three more happy customers in the books! 🙌

We started the day by installing a new Coleman Mach 10 with a heat pump for a return customer.

Next up, we replaced a faulty awning motor on a Dometic 9200 Series awning and adjusted the fabric to get everything lined up and closing properly again.

We finished the day with a beautiful new awning fabric installation from ShadePro! Unfortunately, that one isn’t pictured because it was already dark by the time we wrapped up.

From AC replacements to awning repairs and upgrades, we’re proud to keep helping our customers get their campers ready for the road.
