All Star Automotive is seeking A Mechanic, or Licensed Mechanic who is responsible for investigating problems with different types of motor vehicles and making repairs accordingly. Their duties include communicating with vehicle owners to discuss their concerns, carrying out routine maintenance procedures on motor vehicles and replacing parts on motor vehicles to promote their functionality.

Mechanic duties and responsibilities
Mechanics are required to perform a range of duties and responsibilities that can differ from day to day depending on the jobs that they are assigned. This can include anything from routine maintenance work to specialized repairs. Other duties include:

Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
Liaise with clients to determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems
Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues
Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested
Keep an accurate log of all work performed
Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
Adhere to company work safety policies

Mechanic skills and qualifications
A successful candidate will require various skills and qualifications in order to perform their duties as a mechanic. This includes possessing a high degree of knowledge in order to be a specialist in the automotive field. Some of the basic skills and qualifications a mechanic might need include:

Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance
Demonstrated experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs
Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prepare work estimates and quotes
Sound problem-solving skills
Completion of an apprenticeship is advantageous
