With the new year already here, let's begin by picking up where we left and start with what is next on cue. Rolling over from 2025, we got a 2010 Lancer Ralliart Sportback with a very cool setup put together by for a complete tune on Flex Fuel. Also, rolling over, we got and his EvoX heavy hitter built with the potential and support to push a lot of power all controlled by a Motec M150. To start the year, we got Infiniti Q60 for installation and upgrades of bolt ons parts finishing up with a fresh tune done with Ecuteck Technologies to gain the full potential of this detuned version of the VR30DDTT platform. I'm already working on individual posts for each one of these. Stay tuned!

For an unexpected inconvenience, yesterday's tuning session was cut short, but we'll be getting back to that soon. Now, moving on into the next one. This one will serve as an example because of the given circumstances (not always necessary) to show some of the process for the recovery procedure of a Mitsubishi ECU, "AKA" bench flash.
The reason why this is needed can be from a bricked ECU due to something going wrong while flashing or reading (very common), also if the need of using a different rom ID # that does not match the current ID # present on the ECU,for example when switching from different years or markets (most common), VIN Match and others. The carousel posted goes like this:

*Costume hardness pined to the ECU, a 12v source, and software 📷

*Recovery procedure (1st 📹)

*Reflashing the rom ID to be used (2nd 📹)

*And last, after the ECU is installed back on the vehicle, flash your base calibration file and begin the tuning process (3rd 📹)

I know this might be boring stuff, but it helps to educate customers and other people if the need for a "bench flash" is required while getting a vehicle ready for a tuning session.
