Sometimes the first diagnosis is not the right diagnosis.

This customer came to us with a 2010 Lexus IS250 after being told by a chain store that it needed axles. The complaint was poor acceleration and the vehicle feeling sluggish in forward and reverse.

Once we started checking it out, it was clear something else was going on.

The check engine light was on, but the bigger issue showed up during the test drive. A loud scraping noise started almost immediately, and the vehicle would actually lock up when trying to move. That is not something you want to keep driving.

This is why a proper diagnosis matters.

Sometimes the problem is not the most obvious answer. Sometimes it is not what another shop said it was. And sometimes the safest thing to do is stop, get it back in the shop, and figure out what is really happening before more damage is done.
