🚗 You've been driving with one hand for years. No problems.

Then you take your test with one hand on the wheel during a turn.
Instant fail.

Examiners don't care how comfortable you are. They're evaluating proper technique. Two hands = control. One hand = failure.

And if you're making this mistake, you're probably making others you don't even know about.

Our State Examiners identified 6 critical errors. Don't let overconfidence cost you a passing score.

⚡ Pop quiz: What's the speed limit in a Colorado neighborhood with no posted signs?
If you said 25 MPH, you just failed.
It's 20 MPH. And not knowing this on test day will cost you.

This is just one of 6 mistakes our examiners see constantly.

Before you schedule your test, learn what else you might be getting wrong. These aren't obscure rules - they're basic errors that confident drivers make every day.

🛣️ This looks so simple. Until it fails your test.
Turning into the wrong lane costs more points than you think.

The rule: Enter the CLOSEST lane. Every single turn. Change lanes only after you're completely through.

That's mistake #2 of 6.

Want to know what else examiners are watching for? Our State Examiner instructors break down every common failure point.

Happy 4th of July
Drive Safe. Enjoy the Ride. 🇺🇸

Fourth of July in Colorado means road trips, mountain views, fireworks, and friends — but it also means crowded highways, late nights, and distracted drivers.
Whether your teen just got their permit or is heading out solo for the first time, a quick refresher goes a long way 🎇

Holiday road reminders:
🚦 Leave early — traffic gets wild
🧠 Drive distraction-free (phones away!)
🌙 Be extra cautious after dark
💤 If you’re tired, switch drivers or pull over
👀 Fireworks look better from a safe parking spot anyway 😉

From our family to yours — have a safe, happy 4th of July.

To the dads who hand over the keys with a deep breath…
Who circle the empty parking lot for the fifteenth time…
Who explain right turns just one more time…
And who grin ear-to-ear the moment their teen nails it for real — happy Father’s Day. 💙

Whether you're a dad, stepdad, abuelo, uncle, big brother, or the family friend who stepped into the passenger seat, you play a huge role in raising confident Colorado drivers.

⚠️ One wrong decision at a 4-way stop. Automatic fail.

Right-of-way violations end tests immediately because they prove you don't understand foundational safety.

If you make another driver brake or hesitate because of your actions, it's over.

The problem? Most drivers think they understand right-of-way. Until they fail.

Our State Examiner instructors break down this mistake plus 5 others that fail Colorado driving tests every single day.
