On this edition of “the third foot™ found on ”, we have this very ratty, very breezy, and totally rad ’84 Cabriolet. Obviously well-used, I first clicked on the listing as part of my pipe-dream search for a racer, the price being the most attractive part of the listing.
Before I even saw the third foot™ or the sticker, something about this car made me pause. Then I remembered that I had seen it at Lime Rock back in my early days of driving with (Probably 2012-1014).
In addition to old 911’s, my life is consumed by surfing/surf travel. The sticker on the back of this ‘ol girl immediately piqued my interest in the driver/his story. Though he looked like the Dos Equis man, had the accent to match and I assume had many a story to tell, he was not interested in sharing them that day and brushed me off rather quickly.
Though the interaction bummed me out back then, I am happy to see he at least has good taste when it comes to selecting a heel/toe pedal. Hope to see this bitch back on the track soon!
