Sovren Racing Not just for racers
Running an event requires the talents of a wide variety of dedicated individuals.

Society of Vintage Racing ENthusiasts (SOVREN) is an organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and competition of vintage production and purpose-built sports cars on Pacific Northwest road racing circuits. Ownership of a vintage race car is not necessary for membership, as we welcome non-car owners, especially those who might want to volunteer to help with our events. Our members range from individuals who enjoy the spirit and camaraderie of vintage racing through restoration and wheel to wheel competition to those who enjoy working on the sidelines as pit crews, officials or turn workers to those who simply enjoy the thrill of watching these old race cars come to life again. Those wanting to lend a hand are warmly welcomed and are rewarded with adventure, camaraderie, and friendship. There are lots of jobs to do – one of them will be just right for you. Our Race Chairs will help you register for an event even if you have no experience. We will provide the basic training and pair you up with an experienced official — soon you will grow into the position you like best.

🏁 SOVREN’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY & AWARDS CELEBRATION! 🏆

Join us Saturday, January 9, 2027, at LeMay – America’s Car Museum as we celebrate 40 years of vintage racing, honor our champions, and most importantly, THANK OUR INCREDIBLE VOLUNTEERS! ❤️

Simply put, without our volunteers, there is no SOVREN racing!

While our drivers enjoy the thrill of competition, an extraordinary group of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes. They give up their weekends, brave the elements, arrive before the first engine fires, and stay long after the checkered flag falls. They are the heartbeat of our organization, and we owe them more than words can express!

❤️ Can’t join us, or simply want to do more? Please consider making a donation toward our volunteer celebration. It’s an opportunity to give something back to the people who give so much to keep us safe, keep us racing, and keep SOVREN alive!

What an awesome way to wrap up the 2026 SOVREN season!

Maryhill delivered everything that makes this event so special — a spectacular road, incredible scenery, great cars, and even better people. There’s just something different about sending a vintage race car up that hill, then coming back down and doing it all over again.

This weekend also meant a great deal to all of us who knew Starke Shelby. Starke would have been proud. His presence and contribution to this event were definitely felt, and his life and legacy were celebrated throughout the weekend. It was a fitting reminder that vintage racing is about much more than the cars — it’s about the people, friendships, and traditions that keep all of this going.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the Maryhill Hill Climb possible — the organizers, volunteers, corner workers, crews, drivers, and everyone who came out to support the event.

And just like that… 2026 is in the books! 🏁

It’s been a fantastic season of vintage racing, friendships, competition, and memories. Thank you to everyone who raced with us, worked an event, supported a driver, or simply came out to watch. SOVREN wouldn’t be what it is without this community.

Starke would have been proud. We were proud to be there.

See you in 2027!
