Hey everyone!

Just a friendly reminder that TowBoatUS coverage is mandatory for all saltwater reservations. While we strongly recommend it for all boating, it is required anytime you are taking a boat out in saltwater.

Moving forward, we will be checking proof of TowBoatUS coverage before every saltwater departure. Once you show us proof of your active membership, we will note the expiration/anniversary date on file so you will not need to show it again until renewal time.

Please note: all reciprocal reservations coming from lake locations to saltwater locations will be required to show proof of TowBoatUS coverage each time they boat in saltwater.

We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding as this policy is in place to help protect both our members and our boats while out on the water.

Thank you, and happy boating!

⚠️ Lake Update ⚠️

We wanted to give everyone a quick update on current lake conditions. While we did get some much needed rain, the lake levels are still lower than normal and conditions can still be tricky in certain areas.

Current Lake Levels:

🌊 Lake Wylie: 95.8 — still in Drought Stage 2 and about 2 feet below target level

🌊 Lake Norman: 94.5 — currently around 4 feet below target level

We are still boating, including I/Os, and we’re excited to keep everyone out on the water! We just ask that everyone please stay in the main channels as much as possible. Many coves and side areas are still extremely shallow and can have hidden hazards due to the low water levels.

Please take it slow, use extra caution, and remember that moving outside the main channels could unfortunately cause immediate damage to the boats.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and cooperation while we wait for the lakes to recover. Stay safe and enjoy your time on the water! 🚤☀️🌊

Boating Tip of the Day ☀️

The best boating days start early. Calm water, quiet coves, and that first cup of coffee on the lake just hits different. Beat the crowds and enjoy the peace before the weekend party starts! 🚤🌊

Happy Friday everyone! See you on the water 😎⚓

Good news! We are boating out of Lake Wylie this weekend!

Boater Beware: conditions on the lake are still very challenging, and it is imperative that all boaters stay within the main channels at all times. Water levels remain low in many areas, and hazards outside the marked channels can be difficult to see.

For safety reasons, we are not allowing boats with inboard/outboard motors out until lake levels come up further.

Additionally, due to the recent sewage spill and ongoing cleanup efforts, tubing and other water toys will not be permitted at this time out of an abundance of caution.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as conditions continue to improve. Safety remains our top priority, and we will continue to keep everyone updated.

🌧️ Boating Tip of the Day 🌧️

A little rain doesn’t have to ruin a great day on the water! Sometimes the best boating memories come from cruising after a summer shower when the lake is calm, the air is cooler, and hardly anyone else is out there. 😎🚤

Just remember: if you hear thunder, it’s time to head back to the dock. Safety first, sunshine second! ⚡🌊

Much-needed rain has arrived 🌧️

That means happier lakes, better conditions, and more great days ahead for our members on the water!

04/29/2026

There was a spill of 70,000 gallons of raw sewage in Lake Wylie earlier this past week. Local officials have been actively treating and monitoring the situation, with water quality testing happening every other day.

The good news is this is happening very early in the season, and with the recent rain and planned water level adjustments, conditions are expected to continue improving. The lake is also scheduled to be brought back up early this next coming week.

We’ll continue to keep a close eye on everything and will update you as soon as levels are back up and ready to go.

Stay tuned — we’re looking forward to getting everyone back out on the water soon! 🚤
