Our electric fantail launches built today echo the lines of the 1893 boats with many original castings and handcrafted details not found in other electric boats. For others, it is because today's Elco is built to exacting standards. Every boat and yacht built by Elco Motor Yachts regardless of whether it's a production electric launch or a custom vessel designed and fitted to your specifications – is crafted with superior attention to detail and always with the absolute highest quality materials and boat building techniques. Our boat builders work directly with local sawmills and lumber importers to select the finest quality woods that are precisely right for your boat and the waters they will cruise in. Deck hardware is polished brass, cast using original Elco fittings as patterns. The power plant is as modern as you wish – from a truly innovative Elco electric drive system to a vintage Elco electric or gasoline motor carefully and expertly restored by marine engine specialists. Our production electric launches have finely fitted-out fiberglass hulls for ease of care, ease of ownership, and for a boat that's always ready to go. Woodwork is beautifully crafted using carefully chosen pieces with good grain and color, then meticulously varnished by hand for a deep, rich finish. Our custom boats and yachts are built using materials and methods suited to your esthetic sense and right for how and where you'll use the boat – from traditional plank-on-frame, to cold-molded, to fiberglass construction and beyond. They are hand-crafted masterpieces, destined to be classics.
