Winter won't wait. Your car shouldn't either.

Dead battery at 6 AM. No heat on the way to work. Bald tires on the first snow. Brakes that worked fine until one cold morning.

Every one of those is cheaper to catch now than on the side of the road.

Brakes on Cancer runs through Oct 31: $20 off per axle, and we send that same $20 to Breathe, Inc.

About 6 miles round trip, everyone together. Check-in is at 7:00 AM at Bonnie & Betty's, 6069 S Railroad St, Lyons, and we step off at 8:00 AM. Walking is free, and veterans are never asked for a dime. Every dollar raised goes to Stop Soldier Su***de

Mike sat down with Nancy and Tom on Lake 96.1 WLKG's Life Matters to talk about The Carry. Here's the conversation.

The Carry is a free 6-mile walk on the White River State Trail in Lyons, for the 22 veterans we lose every day. Saturday, November 7. Check in at 7:00 AM at Bonnie & Betty's and we step off at 8:00. Out to Pedal & Cup and back to the Lyons Veterans Memorial, where we finish with 22 seconds of silence. Done by noon.

Walking is free. Ruck or no ruck, come how you're comfortable. Register by Friday, Oct 16 and the shirt is free too.

If you want to give, give $22. Every dollar goes straight to Stop Soldier Su***de. VVR never touches the money.

Thank you, Nancy, Tom and 96.1 WLKG, for having Mike on.

If you're struggling, you don't have to carry it alone. Veterans Crisis Line: dial 988, then press 1.

Shirts Free — register by Friday, Oct 16, then show up and walk.

Year 3 is coming… 🎄 Will Rudy & Santa ride again?

2024: Santa's sleigh made an emergency pit stop at VVR.
2025: The North Pole grounded the reindeer, so Rudy took the lead. 🔴🐾

The one whose check engine light has been on since the Fourth of July.

The one who turns the radio up so the brakes stop squeaking.

The one who said "I'll call Monday" about four Mondays ago.

Around here, "we want you" is kind of a tradition.

Consider this your sign. Bring it in and we'll take it from here.

No judgment. Just straight answers and honest work, whenever you're ready.

October at VVR means Brakes on Cancer. 💗

Through October 31, brake service is $20 off per axle, and for every axle we do, we send that same $20 to Breathe, Inc.

Winter's on its way. If your brakes squeal, grind or feel soft, now's a good time to let us take a look. We'll show you photos of what we find, the good and the bad, and give you straight talk about what needs fixing.
