As the owner of Big O Tires Lafayette, my wife & I wanted to share something that is not shared or spoke about enough.
I’m not sure how many peole will see this but, I'm taking a step (a Huge first step honesty) to speak out.
A little over a month ago, Zoey (our daughter) 13yrs, attempted su***de. As she is an oustanding student and a amazing Ballerina. Kids have been affected by all the new pressures that we, as parents, have never faced. I ask you to please listen to your kids. They feel judged, pressured, to be “perfect”, they’re asked to figure out their pronouns at a young age (wtf?!? Just live life, you dont even know yourself right now), they have had their own trama while dealing with the world closing down as CHILDREN (covid)! They are trying to figure out adult things while they have to figure out how to navigate puberty. Please listen to your kids… try to understand. It’s hard, but they need us now more than ever. You never know the STORM that's brewing inside no matter what you think you know or how much you talk to them.
This has been the HARDEST thing we have ever been through...
