Yesterday was a bit wild with a turnaround trip to Las Vegas and back.
The family of a good customer of ours called Jeff with unfortunate news that their father passed and needs to sell some stuff. So Jeff made a deal. So me, dad Jeff and Jose went with 2 trucks and trailers to go pick up a 1940 coupe project that we did a full Kugel chassis and got it running for him about 7 years ago. Then it just sat in his garage. Also total project 1940 Ford pickup truck in pcs with SBC, 2 trans. Auto and a 5speed, quick change rear end, super cool, and then there’s a 1953 Chevy 210 driver. Both trucks packed with So much stuff for these projects it’s unbelievable.
We left the shop at 6:00 am got there about 10:15 am. Took 5 hrs to load everything up and was HOTTER than HELL 108 almost died. Left Vegas, Jose drove the 53 Chevy, with AC not working of course, driving an unknown car across the desert was nuts but we did it. Our enclosed trailer started to fall apart, front corner opened up for some reason, so did a repair job and carried on. Dad took over driving the 53 outside of Barstow and we made it to the shop about 10:30 PM.
What a crazy long day. Anyways here’s some pics of our adventure, and yes that 53 Chebby is for sale as well as the 40 pickup project. The coupe is Dads project car, but I’m sure that could be bought as well. Lol give Jeff a call if you’re interested!
