How many of you fish or just cruise after dark?

Thanks to David Dear for sharing another shot from the water.

One feature we wanted to include from the start was built-in navigation lighting. The lights are already installed and wired into the kayak, so there is no separate nav-light kit to figure out before heading out.

For people who fish early mornings, stay out through sunset, or spend time on the water at night, that is a pretty nice feature to already have handled.

And David clearly is not afraid to put his FluxJet to use after dark. 😂

Another FluxJet has arrived. 💙

Thanks to Ed Peterson for sharing the pickup and letting everyone know the packaging arrived in great shape.

Our team puts a lot of time into protecting these kayaks before they leave, so it is always good to hear when one makes the trip exactly how we want it to.

That said, we still recommend every customer take a few minutes at pickup to inspect the entire kayak before leaving the freight location.

Check the top, bottom, sides, handles, and any removable pieces.

Then get it home and start figuring out the fun part.

Battery. Accessories. First launch.

We’re heading back to the water for another FluxJet Demo Day.

If you’ve been thinking about trying a FluxJet, join us at Lake Natoma on Sunday, September 13, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Willow Creek Boat Ramp

You’ll have a chance to see the FluxJet in person, try the controls, experience the pedal steering, and ask our team questions about the kayak and battery setup.

We’ll have some PFDs available. If you have your own properly fitted PFD, please bring it.

Not near Lake Natoma? We also want to know where you would like to see a future demo. The Demo Interest page is linked in the first comment.

On-water participation is subject to weather, water conditions, and team instructions.

We love seeing posts like this.

Our team is working hard to build and ship the kayaks people have been patiently waiting for, so every time we see another one picked up, loaded into a truck, and getting ready for its first trip, it's pretty exciting.

Craiger, welcome to the FluxJet family and thank you for supporting us.

Our advice for the first trip is simple: don't worry about having every accessory figured out yet.

Add your battery, get it on the water, learn the throttle and foot steering, try the two seat positions, and get comfortable with how the kayak handles. Then start figuring out how you want to make it yours.

Another FluxJet made it home. 💙

Thanks to this owner for sharing the pickup photos and also passing along a useful tip for others who will be collecting their kayak from a freight terminal.

Before you leave, take a few minutes to inspect the entire kayak and make sure any removable pieces are secured.

In this case, the owner specifically recommends taking the front cover off and putting it inside your vehicle before heading home so it cannot move around during transport.

We work hard to package the kayaks for freight, but once you pick yours up and start transporting it yourself, it is worth taking a few extra minutes to look everything over and secure anything that could move.

And then comes the part everyone has been waiting for...

Get it home, add the battery, learn the controls, and get it on the water.

Okay Mike, we see you. 😂🎣

Another photo from Mike's maiden voyage, and this one really shows how he's starting to build out his FluxJet for the way he fishes.

Rod storage, electronics, landing net, paddle, tackle, hydration, cart and plenty of gear onboard.

This is one of the things we've been waiting to see as more kayaks get into customer hands.

How is everyone actually going to rig them?

Our goal was to give people a simple starting platform.

The jet drive is already built in.

The controls and wiring are already handled.

Navigation lights are already installed.

Add a battery and you have a functional kayak.

What happens after that is completely up to the owner.

Some people are going to keep theirs incredibly simple. Others are going to add fish finders, rod holders, cameras, power poles and enough fishing gear to disappear for a week. 😂

Neither approach is wrong.

And as Mike talked about after his first trip, your setup might change once you actually spend some time on the water. That's why we encourage new owners to learn the kayak first, understand the controls and weight distribution, and then figure out where everything belongs.

We love seeing these setups because one owner's idea might solve a problem another owner has been trying to figure out.

Two more FluxJets have arrived. 💙

Love seeing posts like this from the owners group.

These two made their way through YakShak in Indiana, with a thank you to dealer Bryan Sparks for helping get them into their new owner's hands.

And now they're headed north with hopefully enough time left to get some good days on the water before winter shows up.

Our dealers place their orders ahead of time and wait for their shipments just like customers do, so we really appreciate everyone supporting the dealers who have been supporting FluxJet.

To the new owner, thank you for your patience and for sharing the photos.

The new Jeff Burlingame and Paul Glass FluxJet video is live.

And they definitely put it through a little more than a casual lake cruise.

They test:

Shallow water

Grass and lily pads

Logs and submerged obstacles

River current

Turning and agility

Battery setups

Serviceability

Fish finder and transducer setup

And some of the real limitations they found along the way

That last part matters.

Real testing is not about pretending everything is perfect. It is about showing what works, what needs adjusting, and what happens when you actually use the kayak in different conditions.

The PVC extended rack is working! 👊

Thanks to Robert L Peloquin for sharing another look at how he's transporting his FluxJet.

Truck beds aren't all the same size, and neither are everyone's transportation needs. Some owners use trailers. Some use racks. Some have longer beds. Others are figuring out ways to make a shorter bed work for an 11-foot kayak.

That's one of the reasons we enjoy sharing these posts.

Robert came up with a PVC extended rack for his setup, put it to use, and now he's reporting back that it's working really well.

Someone else might look at this and build something completely different, or take one little part of the idea and adapt it to their truck.

That's what makes the owner community useful.

Keep sharing what works, what didn't work, what you changed, and what you learned along the way. There's a good chance another owner is trying to solve the exact same problem.

Also...

Can we appreciate this garage? 😂

Fishing gear on the wall. Storage overhead. Everything organized and still enough room for the FluxJet and truck.

Who else gets a weird amount of satisfaction from an organized garage? 🙋‍♂️

Another one has arrived! 🧡

Thanks to Mike Lazneerskalovich for sharing the arrival of his FluxJet. Mike said it was well packaged, well protected, and arrived pristine.

That's exactly what we want to hear, but his post is also a good reminder for everyone receiving a kayak:

Take a few minutes and do a complete inspection before accepting it.

Check the top, bottom, sides, handles, and edges of the hull. We put a lot of effort into packaging these kayaks for freight, but once they're in transit, things can happen.

That's also why we wanted to mention a recent video from .

A customer noticed damage around the handle area when their FluxJet arrived and rejected the shipment.

Outdoor Gear Nerds then drove several hours to pick up that damaged kayak. They brought it back and documented how they repaired the damaged handle area.

It's a really interesting video, especially if you like seeing how things are repaired and understanding more about the construction of the kayak.

That damaged unit is also one of the reasons Outdoor Gear Nerds has had a FluxJet available to work with. Our priority has been getting production kayaks out to the customers and dealers who have been waiting for them.

So when yours arrives, don't be in such a hurry to get it on the water that you skip the inspection.

Take a few minutes. Look it over. Then start having fun.
