1966 Ford F-250 4x4 combines some of the most respected components in the truck world into one professionally built package.

Under the hood is a refreshed 5.9L 12-valve Cummins backed by a rebuilt Getrag 5-speed manual transmission and rebuilt NP205 transfer case. The build features a Goff’s Diesel VE pump, 5x14 injectors, HE351 turbo, water-to-air intercooler, Hamilton valve springs, heavy-duty pushrods, PDD exhaust manifold, 4-inch MBRP exhaust, Champion aluminum radiator and dual electric fans.

1957-1960 Ford pickups the “Fridge.”

This one comes from the second-to-last year of the series and represents one of the more desirable configurations you’ll find: a Custom Cab, V8, four-speed, and four-wheel drive.

Ford introduced this generation in 1957, bringing a lower, wider, more modern look to the F-Series. Today, they’re known for their square body lines, clamshell hood, and unmistakable refrigerator-like shape.

But finding a four-wheel-drive example is rare as production numbers were low.

Most F-100s left the factory as basic two-wheel-drive work trucks. Four-wheel-drive models were built in far smaller numbers and were typically purchased by farmers, ranchers, utility companies, and buyers who genuinely needed the capability.

This truck still carries many of the features that made it a serious workhorse, including a PTO-equipped transfer case, Dualmatic locking hubs, a 292 V8, and a four-speed manual transmission.

Finished in red and white and equipped with a Styleside bed, it’s a reminder of a time when four-wheel drive was still a specialty option—not a marketing package.

Ford guys simply call them Fridges.

Today, regular cab trucks are rare and crew cabs dominate C-Store parking lots. That wasn’t always the case...

In 1964, crew cabs didn’t really exist.

If a contractor, utility company, railroad, or government fleet needed room for an entire crew, companies like Crown Steel Products in Orrville, Ohio stepped in. Crown specialized in converting standard pickups into crew cabs years before manufacturers made them common.

That’s what makes this 1964 GMC K20 so unusual. It’s going across GAA Classics next month and worth a second look. I

Dodge didn’t build a heavy-duty short-bed Cummins until 1998.

This one is a 1993.

Powered by a built 12-valve Cummins and backed by Dana 60 and Dana 70 axles, this custom Ram 250 was converted to a short bed.

Love it or hate it, this one’s gonna be cool to see go over the block. NO RESERVE.
