ANOTHER FIRST!

We had another first here at Moxi Performance! This time, we hooked up a circle track car to the hub dyno. 👊

The owner was curious—and so were a couple of passerby’s—about how everything would unfold with the way a circle track chassis moves while strapped to a hub dyno. Well… we had ZERO issues and were able to do what we do best!

This was a fresh motor that had never been run, so after getting it pushed in and hooked up, the first order of business was getting it broken in properly and getting those rings seated under load as that is what the engine builder requested. Once we got through the break-in, it was time to make some pulls, get the fuel and timing dialed in, and see what this thing had to offer.

Mark did a fantastic job, as always, and even got to have a little fun going down memory lane from his days behind the wheel. There’s nothing quite like getting around race cars and talking horsepower to bring back some good memories!

At Moxi Performance we like making engines do their thing.

We had the luxury of having this beautiful Charger jump on the dyno first thing this morning and sing the song of our people! 😂🇺🇸

And with the exhaust on this car… let’s just say it wasn’t just singing — it was putting on an opera! 🎶🔥

This customer has some changes he wants to make before we dive into a full tune, but he wanted to know exactly where he was starting from. So, we put it on the dyno and established a solid baseline before making any changes.

We’ll be the first to admit it — we can’t possibly know EVERYTHING. There are simply too many platforms, systems, and vehicles out there.

But being in a rural market, one of our goals is to make sure you don’t have to travel hours away just to have access to quality equipment and tuning resources.

There are a LOT of platforms out there, and fortunately, we’ve found a couple tuners from our network who specialize in the platforms we aren’t as familiar with. That means when your vehicle falls outside our personal specialty, we have resources available to help get the job done right.

The Little Small Block That Could! 💪🏁

This one was a fun project!

The customer originally came to us for a dyno session, but we ran into a few issues right away—starter problems and a couple of oil leaks. After getting everything repaired, he brought the car back to us for a fresh set of headers, a custom exhaust routed under the car, and to get the carburetor and timing dialed in.

And did our guy Mark deliver!

With nothing more than careful tuning and minor adjustments, we picked up an impressive 80 horsepower from this little small block. Could it make even more? Absolutely. A little valvetrain work would likely wake it up even further and let the power extend further out, but as it sits, this is definitely the little engine that could.

The customer has no power adders and runs in a bracket class and told us he’s got a rival at his local track he’s been chasing. We have a feeling he’s going to be pretty excited the next time they line up. 👀

Today was another first—this Jeep finally got to open her lungs up a bit! 🔥

I know I’ve been pretty quiet lately, and I appreciate everyone’s patience. I’ve been focused on paramedic school (and probably will be for another year), but I want everyone to know that Moxi Performance is still here and continuing to provide tuning and performance services.

One of the biggest advantages we offer is our Mainline ProHub Hub Dyno. Unlike a traditional roller dyno, a hub dyno bolts directly to your vehicle’s hubs, eliminating tire slip and providing extremely accurate, repeatable data. It also allows us to safely tune high-horsepower, lifted, and off-road vehicles that can be difficult to strap down on a conventional chassis dyno.

Out with the old and in with the new!! Customer brought us a 1986 square body a couple weeks ago that was LS swapped for us to look at. Their initial install didn’t go as planned and they couldn’t get the vehicle running with wiring issues. Customer has been curious about Holley efi and the simplicity of it. After much discussion we got him a new Holley Terminator X to be swapped as well as a Painless wiring kit to clean up all the wiring throughout the truck to make everything work as it should. Customer will also get a new Holley fuel pump. Once this install is done we will get it dialed in on the dyno and back to the customer to enjoy.e

Congratulations to Mark on winning this weekend in Betty White!! Racing was close all weekend but nothing was as close as the finals for this race and it came down to reaction at the tree. Ole Betty was absolutely locked in. Thank you Mark for entrusting us with all your parts needs.

After doing a complete wire and install on a Holley sniper unit we had to let it sing. Some sniper units are only designed to control one system of nitrous as the inputs and outputs are pre configured. When I called Holley the gentleman I talked to was unsure himself if my idea would work for controlling a second kit but I was bound and determined to ensure this customer didn’t have to have a seperate controller for the second kit. Today that second kit got to add some power! Thank you Carson for trusting us and allowing us to do this install for you. Good luck this weekend!
