Lee Johnson Auto Family Lee Johnson Auto Family opened in 1933 as a Chevrolet dealer in downtown Kirkland under the name East Side Motors. We are proud to call Kirkland our home.

The Lee Johnson Auto Family, now with 8 locations, is proud to still be locally owned, operated and rooted in the communities we serve. Though Lee Johnson Auto Family is in our fourth location, we have been part of the Kirkland community since May 1933. The first site was located downtown Kirkland close to the waterfront. In 1964 business had become so successful that we moved to our second location to expand business. We were only in that spot for 4 years when the state decided that they needed that location for the highway expansion (now the cloverleaf on/off ramp of I-405 and Ne 85th St). We moved to our current address in 1968 and in 2006 we expanded the site to the campus you see now. From a small car lot in 1933 to a multi-building facility that provides your service and parts needs for all makes and represents Chevrolet, Mazda and Kia.

🎒🚌 Back to school means more school buses on the road!

As kids head back to school, let’s all do our part to keep them safe. Remember to slow down, stay alert, and know when you’re required to stop for a school bus. 🛑
