Sometimes I do get to work on some really cool stuff. This beautiful 2014 Corvette LT1 came to me with the complaint of the electric door releases not working. Driver's door only. For the last year, this customer has been forced to go to the trunk to open the driver's door with the manual release to get in and utilize the emergency pull on the driver's side floor to get out.

Being that GM service info is pretty limited for these cars, we had to get creative on diagnostic. First verify the buttons don't work. Check. Power and ground? 1.3v on power side, strong solid ground at the door sill. Passenger side showed 12v on power side until the button is pressed then drops to zero. Okay, now we got something. Pulled the driver seat, interior plastics and carpet out and voltage drop test the full length of the wire from button to door actuator and found an 11v drop end to end. Taking up the conduit in the floor revealed our broken wire pictured in green. I cut it for the picture, but it was crushed inside the conduit. Solder it up and fix a few more wires I found in there as a courtesy to the customer and we have working door switches again folks!

Hello everyone. Recent events have forced me to temporarily close while I get some things figured out. The plan is to reopen in October and get back to doing what I always intended from the outset. Helping our community, and providing the best possible service to everyone.

I will still be around for consultation purposes only until everything clears up, but I cannot physically lay hands on your vehicle for diagnosis or repairs. So if anyone needs to call and get advice for their vehicles for piece of mind sake, don't hesitate to call. I will do my best to help as much as I can. If you need a quote on what something will cost, I can still do that too. However, we'll need to wait on the repair aspect.

Hello, everyone! I'm still here and still working! I have been very lax on photos and repair posts on account of being so busy! With tax season coming to an end, bookings slowing down, and summer hours after June 19th I'll be more available for drop in appointments and quick jobs. Wait times will drop dramatically and scheduling will get more plentiful. Please be patient with me if you do reach out, I have so much stuff going on with customer cars, my personal cars, home life, and some smaller wrap projects. I'm just one guy doing all of it. Doing my best to provide the best service possible at a reasonable price point to you.
