Statement from HBM Reaper Tires – State of the Company

Cheraw, SC – I would like to address the recent rumors suggesting that I am liquidating my track assets and HBM Reaper Tires.

These rumors are false.

Unfortunately, as we have seen many times before, rumors continue to circulate and create division within our sport for personal gain. The facts tell a much different story.
In 2026 alone, I have invested more than $100,000 in capital improvements at Paradise Raceway. We are currently adding new entry way to Paradise along with motorhome hookup sites that will provide water, electric service, and designated dump stations. These improvements will be completed in time for the 19th Annual Big O this August. In addition, I am planning another major capital improvement project at Low Country that will be completed prior to the start of the 2027 season.

As for HBM Reaper Tires, let me be clear:

HBM REAPER TIRES IS NOT BEING LIQUIDATED. WE ARE HERE TO STAY.

The rumors being spread are no different than the false rumors that circulated about other tire manufacturers over the past year. Ironically, some of those rumors were spread by individuals who claimed to be representing HBM Reaper Tires while at the same time attempting to damage the reputation of competing manufacturers.

When I brought HBM Reaper Tires to market, my vision was simple: provide racers with a quality, affordable tire that didn't require excessive preparation or maintenance. I wanted a tire designed for the working racer—the person who puts in 40 hours or more during the week and simply wants to spend their weekends enjoying the sport.

This was never intended to be a tire war.

HBM Reaper Tires simply provided an alternative option within the marketplace. Unfortunately, some individuals chose to turn that into something else. I will admit that I could have done a better job preventing some of that negativity from developing around our own company.

Like every business, HBM Reaper Tires has experienced both successes and challenges. Along the way, we identified areas that needed improvement with our overseas manufacturing partner. Those changes have been implemented into our 2026 production line, and racers should stay tuned for announcements regarding the release of our updated 2026 production tires within the next month.

Our focus this year has been less about promotion-driven racing and more about strengthening partnerships with the tracks and organizations that support our product. To help guide the future of the company, I have established an advisory group made up of respected business and industry leaders, both from within and outside of karting. Alongside with my son, Hank B. Moree, who has already established himself as a successful businessman in his own right, HBM Reaper Tires will continue to move forward with the same vision that launched the company.

Over the past several years, HBM Reaper Tires has been part of some of the biggest events in our sport, including:

New Year's in Paradise
Chili Bowl
4th Shootout
Big O
The Rumble at Thanksgiving
WKA Daytona KartWeek

We are especially proud of our involvement in helping WKA Daytona KartWeek achieve its largest Flat Track entry count in event history while also seeing track records broken.

Looking ahead, we are excited about what lies ahead for the remainder of 2026, including:

Salute to America – July 3rd & 4th
19th Annual Big O – August
Special never seen before Labor Day Event TBA
WKA All-Star Event & Henry Moree Birthday Bash – October
The Rumble at Thanksgiving
Continued support of WKA Daytona KartWeek

The investments are being made. The improvements are underway. Our commitment to racers, tracks, and the future of this sport remains stronger than ever.

So once again, let me be perfectly clear:
WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. WE ARE HERE TO STAY.

We remain committed to our racers, our track partners, and the future of karting. The best is yet to come, and we look forward to sharing our plans for 2027 in the months ahead.
