Lehman Truck & Trailer is a growing company located in Kensington, Ohio. The company prides itself on "Doing It Right When No-one Is Looking" and is currently seeking a diesel mechanic with a good attendance record, clean driving history, dependable and knowledgeable. Must be able to pass a background and drug test. Full-time and Part-time positions available. EOE.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Diagnostics and repair
• Preventative Maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair electronic, hydraulic, air brake, ABS, industry-specific equipment with use of scanner.
• DOT Inspections.
• Tire changes.
• Create and complete work order entries.
• Electrical diagnostics and repair.
• Performs general cleaning and repair duties.
• Order parts and manage vendors and inventory.
• Move trucks and trailers throughout the property.
• Assist in maintaining a clean shop.
• Apply knowledge of and work in accordance with the standards of the Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines.
• Previous experience in heavy truck and trailer repair, including wheel seals, brakes, PM services, rear-ends, and clutches. a plus but not a requirement.
• Positive and professional demeanor, good customer service skills
• Team player with a good attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US work authorization
• Valid Driver's License; Haz-Mat and Class A preferred
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs
• At least 2 years of verifiable experience as a mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience in compliance with OSHA Haz Com, OSHA Lock Out Tag Out.
• Experienced in motor work with Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit a plus but not required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) is a plus but not required.
• $19-$27.50 an hour
