🚫 Intermittent No-Start Tahoe – Solved! 🚫

In this video, we tracked down a tricky no-start issue on a Tahoe to a backed-out pin in a harness connector under the fuse block. The best fix? Replace both the male and female terminals—since the original cause of the failure is unknown.

The seal damage suggests someone backprobed the connector incorrectly, likely pulling the pin out. ⚠️ While we never recommend piercing wires, if you do need to backprobe, do it carefully using the proper tools—it's easy to damage seals or terminals without realizing it.

When in doubt, let a professional handle electrical diagnostics. It’ll save you a lot of time, headaches, and costly mistakes. 🧰🔌

🔧 Intermittent No-Start Tahoe – Diagnosed and Solved! 🔍

A Tahoe came in with an intermittent no-start. We dug in:
✅ Verified power and ground to the PCM
✅ Checked CAN bus resistance—terminators were good
✅ Confirmed clean communication between the PCM and transmission (next in the CAN chain)

The culprit? Low pin tension on a CAN wire in the harness under the fuse box. We’ll be replacing both male and female terminals to ensure a proper fix.

We love wiring and diagnostics—but we also install car audio, lighting upgrades, and handle basic to intermediate maintenance.

This Chevy Tahoe has already made the rounds at two Chevrolet dealerships with no answers. The ECM wouldn’t even talk to our scan tool.
