Blakeley’s Mobile Mechanic is a family-owned business looking to expand. The business works on just about everything from big diesel trucks, to boats, to everyday automotive. We are currently looking to fill a few spots both in the shop and road side. We would like to hire a well experienced mechanic able to run a service truck and help around the shop. Along with that we are also offering paid internships for those willing to learn. These internships would be either marine mechanic based or daily automotive based. Pay will be hourly plus commission and will be determined on mechanical knowledge and performance.
Summary of Duties:
· use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and power tools
· Safely operate equipment
· Troubleshoot equipment maintenance problems
· Diagnose components to determine method of repair
· Remove and replace fixtures, switches, outlets, etc.
· Perform preventive maintenance repairs
· Service repair/inspection documentation
· Perform DOT Vehicle Inspections
· Maintain records on maintenance for each vehicle and piece of equipment
· Carry out machine shop duties as allocated
· Maintain parts inventory records
Skills:
· Valid Driver’s License, and ability to get to work on a daily basis
· Welding experience preferred, but not required
· Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while maintaining tight deadlines
Physical Demands:
· Standing and walking for long periods
· Exposed to inclement weather conditions
