I see these often. This 104 stamped on the magnet is the “Gauss” rating. This is the measure of the size of the magnetic field, basically how strong it is. Back in the day
the manufacturer matched the different springs on the speed indicator to the Gauss rating. They had 12 springs to chose from. This makes calibration a cinch. Unfortunately today we only have one spring when a replacement is needed.
