Well, another weekend. Went to a local car show this last Saturday. As you can see by looking through the photos that my friend won best of show for his 32 Ford. Also, you can see the corrupt judge that was very easily bribed. Well, I did win my class, I didn’t have a lot of competition. But congratulations to my friend for “Best of Show”. I wonder if he would’ve won if I had not detailed his car last summer? The many hours of buffing, washing, prepping, cleaning, and applying ceramic. Will never know! Revisiting a vehicle that we did paint correction on last fall. Excellent example of 1960’s muscle cars. The gentlemen who owns this vehicle has wonderful collection of cars. Now you might not have a collector car, but to you your car is everything. Now we might not need to put 20 hours in it detailing the paint, and interior. But you want a job where someone details like it was their own. Poured their passion into it. My 1976 Pontiac Trans Am at a car show this last weekend. I wish I could say I do not know the guy in the photo, but he is actually a friend. Yeah he’s a really good friend. His wife brought her 2021 Z51 Corvette, he brought his special edition 2020 Daytona Charger (sorry no I did not take any photos of their cars). I know to some people a car is just the means of transportation, moving from point A to point B. For myself and others, it’s a statement of who we are, what we enjoy and it’s just plain fun to hang out with people who are like-minded and love cars. Many people don’t have a car that they can go to a car show in, doesn’t mean it can’t be a clean shiny one and love it just the same. I mean come on think about it, do you want some guy detailing your car that does it for a living? Or someone who loves cars and is as passionate in having your car has clean as his is? Nice Maserati came in for a ceramic refresh. Summer is boring driving around in a dirty car! Make yourself happy, Good. Make your car happy, Great. Have someone else do all the work, Awesome! At Grumpy‘s Auto Detailing we’re always trying to improve and learn new techniques and enhance our skills to better satisfy our clients. We now offer paint touchup, and glass scratch removal. The vehicle in the photo is just one of the vehicles that we have recently done paint touchup. The passenger and driver side had about 25 small chips because of parking in busy lots. It only took a couple of hours to touch these up and blend them in. If you were to look closely, you would not be able to find where it has been repaired. Good friends and customers bought a new vehicle. Best to start it off with a good coat of protection inside and out. First have the inside seats protected with a ceramic coating. Protect against stains and fabric dye transfer. Next have exterior widows also coated with ceramic. Rainy months can be hard to drive in. Best to have those exterior windows treated to have the rainwater slide off easier. Lastly exterior finish, protect your exterior paint from harsh weather, damaging sun, and dirt. Have the harsh elements just slide off your car. Vehicles are expensive, spend a little more and make your ride protected. Connor’s Car Show! We had a great time last Saturday at the Connor car show. Even though it rained, we puddled through it. Photos of my friends and the trophies they won. Also a photo of my friend with Connor, a photo of Connor and his mother Lydia. Last two photos of cars that were at the show that Grumpy detailed. This may be the last Connor car show. It is our favorite car show of the year. We are going to miss it. We are hoping someone picks up the torch and continues the show. The founder and organizer of this annual show, Ty Genteman, recently passed away, many are hoping someone out there will continue the show - to continue to raise awareness and money for Down syndrome.
