Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Department of Justice and Department of Safety are providing a further update on the state’s vehicle inspection program in response to the federal District Court’s January 27, 2026 preliminary injunction order:

For the month of February 2026, we will be offering free NH State Inspections for qualifying vehicles.

With the uncertainty of NH state inspection laws, combined with last-minute information from Concord, we understand how difficult it can be to comply to the existing inspection laws. We would like to offer a limited number of free inspections to people with January or February 2026 due dates.

Inspections are limited to:

* Passenger vehicles and light trucks that are privately owned (not business owned)
* Only vehicles with a January or February 2026 due date.
* By appointment only. Limited number of appointments.
* We reserve the right to end this promotion at any time.
* Vehicle must pass inspection procedure to receive a sticker.
