In 1998- just two siblings at the age of 7 & 5, got started in the sport of racing. Tim (7) racing the box stock 1 division and Tarra(5) the kiddy karts. They raced at water and wheels in Shawano. They went on to race a few more years-in the box stock 1, box stock 2, & junior 1 divisions along the way.
They sold the go carts and Tim went on a new adventure of a bandolero. He raced this at multiple tracks up until he was 15.
At the age of 16 and the year of 2007, a 1996 lefthander late model was purchased for Tim. He raced weekly at WIR on Thursdays.
Year 2008 they added another car to the shop, a big 8 late model. In where the family& crew would travel around to different tracks. Tim competed in both WIR on Thursday nights and the big 8 traveling series. - the traveling series was short lived for two seasons & they focused on weekly racing only.
In 2013, yet another racecar was brought into the Springstroh racing shop, but this time for Tarra. She took on the sizzlin’ 4 division at WIR, along with traveling a few times to dirt racing.
After many successful seasons for Tim it was decided to bring on a new opportunity- in 2017- a super late model was purchased. He ran almost a full season in late model and special events in the super.
For the 2018 season, Tim would take on super late model weekly. As Tim moved up, a new opportunity opened up for Tarra. She was given a chance to race the big track in the late model.
After the 2018 season, it was decided that a new chassis would come along- a 2018 Lefthander. And the previous Super late model was sold. This is the first bare chassis bought. Tim built his first car from the ground up.
In 2021, the first chassis Tim would build became Tarra’s for the late model & a new chassis would be purchased. This time a Toby Car Chassis. For the 2021 season, Tim and Tarra would split seat time in the late model. While proving the first chassis built in the springstroh shop was very competitive.
Year 2022, Tim would take the season at WIR off to build the new chassis. He would debut his new Toby car at October fest weekend in lacrosse. Right out the box it was shown to be competitive.
Up until year 2025, both Tim and Tarra would stay in the same classes along with the same chassis’
For the year 2025–After 26 seasons racing- 19 of them just at WIR, it has become time. Both Tim and Tarra have sold their racecars. This decision has been up on the air for awhile. Life is not slowing down, and we are not getting any younger. Racing will always be apart of who we are, but for now we’ll just be on the other side.
We will always appreciate and be thankful for the friends and fans we have met along the way. Racing is a second family, you didn’t know you needed.
We want to thank EVERY sponsor that has backed our racing program throughout our lives. With out them we wouldn’t have been able to continue.
Huge thank you to our crew throughout the years that have joined and supported us.- a person we can not thank enough for all his time would be our cousin Tim Peters(Big Pete). Big Pete has been with our race team every year since 2007, including traveling.
Last but not least, thank you to our parents-Tom&Traci. Thank you for working so hard our entire lives, & backing our dream. A dream that quickly became our life as well.
Enjoy some throwbacks& pictures of our history by years(some are missing)
We hope to see you around!🏁
