Congratulations to Ted Higginbottom !! We qualified yesterday with a 233.714. Went to impound covered it up for the night and made our return run to back it up this morning with a 232.828! The current record was 219 set by Ted last year. Not only did we bump the record considerably Ted will earn his coveted 200mph club Red Hat! Congratulations Ted!!!

After rebuilding our pit area and passing tech yesterday we are in line on course 2 for our first run of the day at SCTA Southern California Timing Association Bonneville Speed Week! Let’s see if we can qualify for a record on our first pass down. The only place on earth where having your car in impound is a great place to be!!

Made it to Bonneville yesterday afternoon. Got the pit setup this morning. Before I could take a picture of our pit to post Mother Nature decided she did not like the setup and uninstalled it for us. Ted has new canopies coming in from Salt Lake City in the morning so we can try again tomorrow. This was at registration and tech. Very crazy to say the least👀

Here is part 2. Again want to thank High Performance Cult and Joseph Potak for the opportunity. Enjoy!

Here is part 2. Again want to thank High Performance Cult and Joseph Potak for the opportunity. Enjoy!

This is Part 2 of our exclusive interview with Kevin Kesterson of M2K Motorsports. In Part 1, we explored his journey from Twin Turbo Viper builds at Racing Solutions and Hennessey to co-founding M2K, where his team has pushed the limits of speed and engineering.

Now, in this episode, we dive even deeper. Kevin shares what it takes to build record-shattering machines, the challenges of chasing top speeds, and the future of high-performance engineering. From dominating the Texas Mile to pushing boundaries at Bonneville Speed Week, M2K continues to redefine what's possible.

Thanks High Performance Cult and Joseph Potak for inviting myself and M2K Motorsports to be on his podcast. This is a 2 part series. Part 2 will be posted next week. 👀👀

🧨In this special two-part series, we sit down with Kevin Kesterson of M2K Motorsports, based in Katy, Texas. Kevin has been a driving force in high-performance fabrication and design, making his mark building Twin Turbo Vipers at Racing Solutions and Hennessey, and playing a key role in the early development of the legendary Venom GT - Building and supporting customers all over the world - England, Bahrain, and even to Russia. Hear all these stories in part one of this two-part series.

But his journey didn’t stop there—he set his sights even higher, co-founding M2K Motorsports to take his land speed racing goals to the top. This will be covered more in Part 2

M2K has built a reputation for pushing the limits, creating next-level machines that dominate the standing mile at events like the Texas and Arkansas Mile, tear up the track at Texas 2K, and even set records at the legendary Bonneville Speed Week. In fact, Kevin and his team were behind the Ford GT that shattered barriers, breaking 300 mph at The Texas Mile. 🧨

It’s official!! Ted Higginbottom has set the D/BMGT Bonneville record with the average speed of 219.140mph. Cannot thank everyone involved enough. Will make a longer post later. We are going to turn the car around so Teds wife Tracy can get her rookie license today.

Ted has successfully got his rookie license! We are in line this morning to try to license up to the 150-175 (C License). This would also give us the opportunity for a record in our class so we would have to go to impound and make a back up run to have the official record. Wish Ted luck!!
