Wheel Wednesday!! A beautiful set of Street ST wheels is here directly from Japan! This set literally arrived in 4 days after the order. Hayashi Racing has been around since 1969, and it is one of the most reputable wheel manufacturers in Japan. They make everything in-house with an extremely high quality standard and it shows in their final products. Look at the beautiful finish on these timeless pieces! Solex 40PII-4 carburetors are fully restored and heading back to Racecraft NW. These carbs are among the more difficult ones to restore, as the metallurgy isn't as stable and is prone to excessive wear and heat cracking in some of the fragile areas. The fuel passages are also quite complicated and prone to clogging. All damaged components were properly replaced, and all fuel passages were honed and cleared. Fully tested and ready to bolt on. The 1971 Nissan Fairlady Z is finally finished and ready to go home where the owner patiently awaits. This was a long project… a simple carb rebuild and tune quickly snowballed into a full valvetrain adjustment and a complete electrical reconfiguration. Lots of work was done to this car, but she drives great and, most of all, is reliable and safe now. I have to clean the car up and she will be back on the road!
