Some days in this business are a little tougher than others.
Several years ago, Ryan Brehm introduced me to a guy named Dave. It didn’t take long to realize he wasn’t just another customer—he’s a true car guy and, more importantly, a great friend.
Dave and I have almost identical taste in Fords. In fact, the 1994 Ford Lightning that inspired our Crossley Customs Tribute Lightning build was actually purchased from him. Without that truck, there’s a good chance our most famous Crossley Customs project would have never happened.
Ever since we finished the Tribute Lightning, Dave has had his eye on it.
Today, it became his.
I’ll admit, it’s bittersweet watching our biggest project leave the shop. Countless hours of planning, building, and obsessing over every little detail went into this truck. It’s truly a one-of-one build that would be nearly impossible to duplicate.
But if it had to leave, I couldn’t think of a better home.
Dave has been one of Gary Crossley Ford’s biggest supporters for years. He’s bought more vehicles than I can count, was one of the first customers to purchase a 1993 Cobra from our dealership, shows up to our events, supports our team, and is always there with a smile and a story about Ford cars and trucks.
More than anything, he’s just a good man.
Dave, thank you for your friendship, your loyalty, and for trusting us all these years. It means the world to me that this truck is staying with someone who truly understands what it represents.
Congratulations, my friend. I know you’ll enjoy every mile, and I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we see this truck around the dealership.
Some vehicles are sold.
The special ones become part of a family’s story.
This one was both. ⚡🇺🇸
