2023 Piper Fest Car , Truck , & Bike Show is a wrap! As they say ”if you don’t like the weather in KC wait and hour it’ll change”. It should be ”if you like the weather in KC wait an hour it’ll change” We were weather aware all week, and the forecast was looking better as Friday approached, and we made the decision to go.

The morning started out beautiful! Cars were rolling in, and in fact by 9:15am half the parking was full. The weather turned on us at 10am and the two storms did the tonganoxie split. We had a short sprinkle and then the sky’s opened up 5 different times. Some participants left before it hit, some left while it had hit, and most stuck it out with us the rest of the day and were patient with us to get all the picks made so we could make a decision to call it early as there were just so many unknowns with the weather.

First and foremost thank you to YOU the owners / participants that came and battled the rain ! It just wasn’t rain…it was sideways at times and drenching. We ended up with 128 entires.

Thank you to all the sponsors / donors/ to make our event a success despite the inaccurate weather. Thank you to the volunteers who helped set up the night before , worked early in the am and worked in situations that we hadn’t come thru ever and all the faculty and staff with piperfest that supported us when we had to make some maneuvers for the awards ceremony.

Congratulations to the award winners! Remember it’s not about the awards it’s about the friendships and memories along the way and award are icicle on the cake for a good day!

We hope you enjoyed yourself…made a new friend….and come back next year and spread the word about our event! Next years event planning is already underway believe it or not and out date will be advertised real soon!

Hello Piper Car , Truck and Bike show! Special thanks to Varsity Sports for the awesome event tshirts that were designed by Jennifer Mitchell! Make sure to grab one for only $15.00! Also thank you for the awesome “Best of” trophies that will be awarded with Cash (200/100/50) and the awesome Principals choice award which will be in next years shirts and banners as well as the fliers for 2024. Our other trophies and picks are being designed and done by Piper graduate Logan Vogel!

Also we are weather aware right now and have the best interest of all participants and may adjust hours of the show if we go on Saturday. Please stay tuned here for an update as we will send one out by tomorrow night at 6:00pm.

Our rain date will be Sunday the 24th if we need it. We can’t wait to se everyone and have a great day!

Good evening! Attached is a map of the grounds for our event next Saturday September 23rd. Our registration is open from 8:00am - 11:00am. The Boy Scouts will be having a pancake breakfast in the morning in the cafeteria.

Registration for the show is $15.00 per car, truck or motorcycle. We will also be selling event Tshirts for $15.00 and all other past years for $5.00.

We will be handing out over 60 awards and also recognizing all 25 and younger participants with the Rising Star Awards. Best of Show award winners will take home special trophy cups along with CASH $200 , $100, and $50. The principals choice award winner will be presented on next years banners, fliers and tshirts and be awarded a trophy.

Awards will be handed out promptly at 3:00pm!

Plenty of truck and trailer parking!

If you want to park together please arrive together!!! No holding spots for anyone as we try and organize and park you with our parking helpers to ensure everyone gets in on the show field! We do have a holding area to park and wait if you’d like until other friends arrive.

Hungry? We’ve got you covered with several food trucks and treats! Is there fun for the kids? No problem stop in to buy a carnival wristband! Like auctions? Stop inside the main area of the school to bud on some great items!

No car show can be put on with out great sponsors!!!!! We have some awesome giveaways!!!!

It’s been a busy day putting out signs in the community promoting our show for next Saturday. Our 2nd grader Connor Ziolo was busy helping us get the posts in and tie up the banners with bungees all while waving to everyone who drove by!

Great story about our school district and the opportunity our students have! See this great piece of learning in our car show field next Saturday September 23!

The Public Service Academy at Piper High School, part of the statewide Career and Technical Educational Program, was donated a 1977 fire truck from New Jersey by way of Shawnee Mission School District to help their student’s studies.
