๐Behind The Scenes Tuesday... More Info Than You Probably Needed To Know ๐
Why do I remove the bottom window seal?
In the tint world this is often referred to as single staging vs. two staging. While I know and use both methods when needed, after 20+ years of tinting this has become my go-to method for achieving the best results. ๐
Does every door panel or seal need to be removed? Nope! Every vehicle is different. But rest assured, I've removed A LOT of them, including luxury vehicle door panels that cost over $10k alone. ๐
Why take the extra step?
โ
Allows the tint to be installed below the seal line, helping reduce trapped moisture and the risk of lifting
โ
Oops... you rolled your window down too soon? ๐ฌ Thereโs a much better chance youโll still be okay ๐
โ
Allows us to fully protect your door panel during installation. Tint requires moisture to install properly, and protecting delicate materials helps prevent streaking, swelling around stitching, or damage to sensitive surfaces like Alcantara
โ
Provides a cleaner, more factory-like finish with fewer visible edges
At the end of the day...
Small details = a better install ๐ฅ
It may take longer sometimes, but premium results come from the steps you donโt always see. ๐
