We raced fort dodge this past Saturday Sarah did amazing in the heat race, but in the feature the car fell short and let us down after inspecting it today we found 2 melted spark plug wires and the brake pads were completely glazed over the joys of racing the car can be awesome one minute then junk the next but Sarah made the best of it in the feature and ended up still getting 6th place, when she gets angry she drives better and trust me she was angry with the car (maybe the mechanic also😂😂)

We’ll see how this week goes but the plan is to race all 3 nights of the fair!!

Last weekend we raced at Hamilton County Speedway. Track had a lot of character, I had a lot of fun, and learned more. I passed 1 car in the heat race. In the feature avoided an accident and ended up 9th. Tonight and tomorrow night we will be racing at Sportspark Raceway. Thank you to everyone who has helped out in any way! No races tonight for us as they are rained out. Finally got the final touch on the car. Now maybe he’ll quit being an ass and be nice to us and take away our bad juju!!! So far we’ve had melted spark plugs, header gaskets not seal, flat tire, gear box broke, and some hellacious power steering problems!!! Next weekend we’ll be at my favorite track Sportspark Raceway!!

Rain rain stay away we want to race today!! We went to Hancock County lastnight to race. When I went out for my heat I could feel something was off with the steering so I took it slow and stayed way back and then pulled off. The gear box broke, so we did not run the feature. Changing gear and gear box today and will be racing for the first time at Hamilton County Speedway tonight. Thank you to all of our sponsors, family, friends, and especially my husband Mason Gilbert none of this would be possible without all of you.

Last night at sports park raceway the driver finally found some speed! I couldn’t be more proud of how far she has come in the short amount of time she’s been in the car she finally got it to almost spin out but she corrected it and kept it green she’s also been very good about watching the other cars in front of her to avoid wrecks! But there’s no way we would be where we are at now if it wasn’t for the help from Jason Purvis even though he doesn’t think he’s helped us out much it’s just the little pointers and tips he’s given us that make the difference! Now that she’s found the gas pedal though we are definitely going to need some better used tires and we want used because she is worried about ruining new tires knowing she’s going to eventually wreck!!😂😂 we are also going to need a bigger carburetor since we just have a baby on it for now!! None of this would be possible with out all the help from our few sponsors that have helped!! We are having fun and enjoying every opportunity that we’ve had to race!!!! Thank you to Justin Ades for building the gear so we could go try Britt out, even though Sarah wasn’t very comfortable being on a shorter and dryer track she still did learn some valuable tips, once again we wouldn’t be where we are without Purvis from getting us parts to just the tips and pointers and just hanging out and bs’ing

Marvin mobile and Alf are all ready to go for tomorrow night! Tomorrow night we will be racing for the first time at Hancock County Speedway in Britt. Which will be my first short track experience. Then Saturday we’ll will be racing at Sportspark Raceway in Fort Dodge.

Last Saturday was my first race in the Marvin Mobile. My only goal was to finish the race, and I did! Heat race was slow, steering didn’t feel right. Changed a couple things before the feature and felt a lot better in the feature. Mason always says if you aren’t about spinning out or are spinning out you aren’t going fast enough. Well I about did as I was sideways in the corner looking at the big tractors tires. I managed to save it and kept racing. Later in the race a car in front of me shucked out their drive shaft which I had to swerve fast to avoid. I had a blast racing and continue to keep learning more. We are now making a few adjustments and changes so we’re waiting to race again until May 24th when Sportspark Raceway will race again! It’s my favorite day of the week RACE DAY!!!! To say I am excited is an understatement!! I got to turn some practice laps last weekend thanks to Sports Park Raceway!! I learned a lot in practice and we fixed a few issues. None of this would be possible without my awesome sponsors on the car. Thank you to each and every one of you. The biggest thanks goes out to my husband Mason Gilbert!! He is the rock star that is making all of this possible. I have the best pit crew tonight Mason, Dylan, and Wyatt. Racing is a family thing and here goes nothing!! We will update on here when we can. I do Intend to start the back in my heat since it will be my first race.
