Is fix-a-flat or tire slime any good? We occasionally remove a tire that has been filled with fix-a-flat. Aside from being a gooey mess, it rarely stops a leak in tires. In this particular case, the tire slime had coagulated into a big chunk of… well, hardened slime (that doesn’t balance well as the tire is spinning down the road!). There’s also a pool of uncured slime still sloshing around in the tire. To top it all off, the liquid saturated the tire pressure sensor which caused that to fail. What seemed like an easy fix turned into a bigger problem.

Here's your FFG Reminder - Check Your Engine Oil 🚙

Did you know? It’s completely normal for your engine to consume one quart of oil for every 3,000 miles of driving. With extended oil change intervals, oil can dip below the acceptable level before your next oil change is due. We’ve noticed that oil levels are oftentimes left unchecked so that they get too low in between changes.

So be sure to check your oil today - your engine (and your pocketbook) will thank you!
