Kim is the Safety Supervisor for Unimark. She spends her days reviewing driver’s safety and compliance records, damage claims, equipment files, insurance records and assists with new drivers on-boarding. Kim is a great team player and helps all departments at Unimark. If you've had the pleasure of speaking to Kim you know that she is so witty and one of the funniest people you will ever meet. Growing up, Kim's father was a truck driver in the oil industry and starting with the company in December of 1999 was an easy transition for her, as she has been around trucking her whole life. Kim has been married for thirty-eight years to Jake and they have two children, three grandchildren, and seven grand-dogs. Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time cheering for her grandkids at their sporting events, watching her husband's softball tournaments, and keeping up with her nephew, Isaiah, a former All-American football player at South Dakota State University. Isaiah was drafted by the NFL in 2024 by the NY Jets. She loves spending time with her family and friends. They are very active and enjoy kayaking, playing around the pool and going camping. Her favorite hobby though is researching family history and she loves to share her incredible findings. Kim has seen many changes over the years but one thing remains constant in her mind, the fact that we have the best drivers in the country and without them this company wouldn't exist, and for that she is grateful.

I immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic. I was born in the most beautiful and courageous Santiago de America, Santiago de los Caballeros, Rep. Dom. Leaving my wife and children to look For a better life for them. When we finally got together, we came from Boston MA to Charlotte, NC. with few regrets, no job or apartment, but eager to overcome. After getting my CDL and having had about 10 jobs over a period of two years, I applied to Unimark. Where God began to bless us. Today, having more than 1,000,000 miles without accidents brings me great satisfaction and is an achievement that has not depended on me alone. I thank David Parker who was Manager at Cleveland NC. Dave Frandy, Alex Andrade, Rudy, Heather Brown. Kerie Huck, Mike Smith. Melvin, who trained me and taught me part of the work. My sons Johmy and Abel. And of course my wife Santa Jorge, who has always been by my side supporting me and with courage has endured the nights and days alone. The WOMAN behind the MAN behind the GUIDE and now The WOMAN behind the MAN OF THE MILLION OF MILLION. Finally, and most importantly, I thank my God who has protected me on the road without his care, it would not have been possible. My hobbies, I love to read something that I inherit from my dad and share with my beloved people. Again, thank you to all the Unimatk staff.

Drivers of Unimark:

As we get into drive appreciation week, I want to take a moment to express my sincere thank you for all you do for Unimark and the success we have had over the years. We are a diverse organization with TTP division, LB division and our drivers in Canada. Each division is unique in its structure and focus but the common thread among them is that you, the drivers, are our most important asset. You are doing the hard lifting each day and the Unimark management team recognizing it and appreciate you, not just this week, but every day we come to work and have the honor of teaming with great professionals. During this week, our terminals will provide some morning and afternoon refreshment as a small expression of our thanks but please understand that our appreciation runs deep and we know that we are truly blessed with a great driver team.
