It was New Years weekend around 10:30 pm when I responded to a call on Interstate 57 North bound at the 60 mm. A family of seven traveling from Florida to Sullivan Illinois had a flat tire and their 2021 Toyota did not come with a spare tire. Without any local taxi services operating in our area I called the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and two deputies responded with enough room in their squad cars to relocate the two adults and five children ranging from 1 yr to 10 yr olds. Holiday Inn Express offered a suit at a very reasonable rate. Marion Toyota replaced their tire the next morning so they could finish their trip home. They sent me this thank you card in the mail.

Just a heads up when searching for a tow provider on line. Screen the number and their location. There are companies posting tow services on Google search and compatible formats that aren’t local tow companies but just middle man type on line services that aren’t local tow simply setting up a tow for you with random local companies that will take the call and drastically marking up the charges to make huge profits are the expense on the actual tow provider and customers. Be sure you speak to the actual provider and confirm they are a local and reputable business.

Just a heads up 59 ers, though the majority of my truck maintenance is taken care of at a local capacity there are a few things occasionally that may need towing specific specialist. That being said the first week of February I will be taking both units at separate time throughout the week to Purpose wreckers outside St. Louis. We are anticipating one to two days on one truck and about a half day for the other. Our plan is to only have one there at a time but travel time will be required for the transportation. I will try to minimize out of area down time as much as possible but obviously some will not be avoidable. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you.
