Can you see the pearl in the paint? Actually a really good color on this car, even thought I am not 100% a yellow fan personally, but I like this one. Re-sealing the windshield, coating the floor pans and waiting on interior upholstery and a new dash to show up.

Wednesday, I traded in my cat-like reflexes for Ninja skills to paint this 1981 Corvette all at once, but all spread out in the booth. I was up and down, across and on top to get all the panels covered. Felt like I needed to be taken home in traction! LOL Color is "Yella Bellied Pearl".

Lots of color around the shop this week. Early in the week I painted the body shell for the Suburban, with help from Javier. I asked him to do the inside, because being all wadded up in there and on my knees would have done me in! I did the outside and 2 tone in the same day, thanks to my Garmat spray booth with the bake function.

The 2 Chevelles both belong to the same customer. The eggplant colored one was here for some clutch work and electric exhaust cutouts, the green one was here for a water pump and basic "get it running right" type service. It has been stored for over 20 years. Its a 1970 with a 396. Real SS car.

Jay is swapping the camshaft in my 68 Firebird. I bought the 400 engine from an estate last year. It was redone 20 years ago for a 1968 GTO and then never installed. I did not know what it had in it, only that it was all new. Turns out the cam was not a good street cam. Waay overkill, so we are installing something more moderate and street friendly. I would much rather have low end torque for street use than a cam that comes in at 4000 RPM!!

The green 1974 Corvette is getting close to being ready to sell.
