Here's a note from our JOSFC President:

Hello JOSFC Family,

We are looking forward to seeing lots of folks this Thursday night. We will be starting dinner closer to 6:45 PM.

Please bring your favorite Memorial Day Picnic sides to share with everyone. The JOSFC Foundation will be providing Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Buns and drinks.

Jessica McCawley and her EFP Team from FWC will be there working together to help explain the 2026 Red Snapper 39-Day season. There are research goals, 10-Fish bag limits, Fishing Day declaration procedures and voluntary reporting that FWC is asking for.

There is also a lawsuit that was filed by a group of Florida Commercial Fishermen to try to stop our 2026 Recreational Red Snapper season. The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) and the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) have teamed up to try to fight for our Recreational Angler rights. FWC will have updates on these issues as well.

The schedule would be Four, 10 hour days and most weekends.

Experience around boats is preferable.
