If you go to a shop and you find yourself making this face....or thinking these words...then maybe you should take a step back and rethink things. I can't tell you how many good people we have had come into the shop that have been lied to by other shops. Don't be one of the ones who are taken advantage of. Take your car for a second opinion if you have doubts. Just don't tell the other shop what the first shop said....let them come to their own conclusion.

It's hard to believe with this crazy weather, but A/C season is right around the corner. We will be offering free A/C checks again this year! Today's tip is to make sure you keep your gas tank above 1/4 of a tank when temps are going to get below freezing. This will prevent any moisture that may be in your fuel pump from being exposed to the freezing temperature. No one wants to go out on a freezing cold morning to a busted fuel pump.

Today's tip....Keep an eye on your tire pressure during the winter time. Tires can lose one pound of air for every 10 degree drop in temperature. Also make sure and put the caps back on your vavle stems so as not to let any moisture in which could then freeze and cause an even greater drop in tire pressure. Tires with inadequate tire pressure are unsafe on roads that could be freezing over.

Winter puts more stress on your battery, particularly if you park your car outdoors. It is best to have your battery tested before you go out in the morning to find your car won't start. Also check your terminals to make sure they are clean and not corroded.
