Old trucks forever 🙌🏼

1800 miles in a ‘97 Ford 🇺🇸

Just before our trip out to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for the F-100 Nationals our shop truck decided to lose a pinion nut and gr***de the rear axle. Thankfully that happened just before our trip, and not on our trip! We pivoted and ended up towing the Mercury pickup up to the Smoky Mountains with ’s OBS Powerstroke. All in all, we had a great show. It was fun seeing everyone’s old trucks and it was equally fun roadtripping up there in a 90’s Ford. 🤙🏼

1976 Ford Highboy

Clean. Simple. Rugged.

This truck was first sold by Kaye Ford Sales in Kitchener, Ontario on September 30, 1976…50 years ago. Not the first storm this old truck has seen.

I don’t know what stories these trucks could tell from the past 60 years…but it’s our turn to write some of the stories 🤙🏼

Inside the camper 👀

Hanging out at the F-100 Nationals this week in Pigeon Forge…just a couple of old school Bumpside trucks and everyone wants to see inside the vintage Bumpside camper that built. I have to say, it is a pretty sick setup with a 4x4 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel.

The first place I would take that camper would be straight up through the Rockies and all the way into Canada and Alaska. Where would you go first?

First Drive: Kincer converted ‘67 Mercury 🙌🏼

There’s a variety of ways to convert an old pickup truck to 4 wheel drive. For the build, we wanted to keep the original Mercury frame with the truck to retain as much originality as possible. That ruled out swapping the body onto one of our Ford 4x4 chassis that we had available at the shop.

Next, we knew we wanted the Highboy look—8 lug axles and a divorced NP205 transfer case with a 4” lift on 9.00-16 tires. But we had an M-100 frame with different crossmember locations, etc.

And finally, we knew we wanted this truck to ride as comfortable as possible. It needed to have all the appearance of an old pickup truck but ride as comfortable as a new one.

That’s why we went with a 4x4 conversion kit for this build. With coils and disc brakes, it sets this truck up well to add in whatever engine and transmission to make it perform however you’d like.

For the show, we put the original 240 inline 6 engine and 4 speed manual back in the truck. It’s the original drivetrain and it runs great. But…who knows what drivetrain this rig could rock in the future 👀

1967 Mercury M100

We cannot be happier with the way this project turned out. We’ll be in the Kincer Chassis booth this weekend at the F-100 Nationals in Pigeon Forge, TN. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s trucks!! Stop by and say hello!

1967 Mercury M100 4x4

So thankful to have the opportunity to build this truck and take it to the F100 Nationals in Pigeon Forge next week. This pickup was originally a 2wd, but now with some help from , we have a custom front axle with disc brakes and coil springs. We’re also installing power steering and a newly upholstered seat to add even more modern comfort to this 59 year old pickup truck.

And for the perfect final touch, wait until you see the truck on vintage bias ply tires with west coast mirrors!

1967 Mercury Highboy 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Many people here in Texas didn’t even realize Mercury made pickup trucks. And we’re converting this 1967 M100 to a full-on 4x4 “Highboy” with a conversion kit. We’ll be finishing this truck in time to be at the Grand Nationals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee May 14-16th. Come by and check out the truck at the show and watch the full build on our new YouTube channel!
