Congratulations Melissa on this “spotlight recognition “ and thank you for your hard work in helping to keep Xpert Automotive running smoothly and volunteering your time to getting Michigan kids outdoors fishing!

This month we’re celebrating the incredible women who help keep the automotive industry running strong—including valued members of our Auto-Wares partner network!

Today we’re recognizing Melissa Krontz, Office Manager at our partner Xpert Automotive in Jackson, Michigan. After 33 years in healthcare, Melissa made a big career change in 2022—trading in her scrubs to join her husband’s automotive business, where she now works alongside her family, including their son and daughter. On a daily basis, Melissa plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. She greets customers, helps with scheduling, assists with check-in and pick-up, and manages the day-to-day business functions that keep the shop moving forward.

Melissa has always had an interest in the technical side of the automotive world, with a special appreciation for classic cars. From a young age, she was in the garage changing oil and learning hands-on skills. As a teenager, she could often be found helping friends work on cars or rebuild engines—and even picked up body work along the way.

Outside of the shop, Melissa stays just as active. She enjoys swimming, camping, fishing, and playing music, and is deeply involved in giving back to her community. Alongside her husband Mike, she co-founded the Michigan Youth Bass Fishing Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to getting young people outdoors and involved in fishing. Together, they help run tournaments across the state, giving students the opportunity to compete at higher levels and even earn scholarships. She also helps host community fishing events, where kids can learn and experience the joy of fishing—something she loves seeing firsthand when they proudly show off their catch.

Melissa’s passion for people, her strong work ethic, and her commitment to both her business and community make her a standout in the industry. We’re proud to work alongside partners like her.
